Found a real gem! Excellent services. Beautiful restored hotel. Everything you need: dining, bar, pool, hot tub, wonderful rooms, huge shower, clean, comfy, quiet. Like the layout of the superior double queens! Definite place to mark on our travels!

The room was a lot smaller than we had expected. Ive stayed in cruise ship rooms that were larger than this one. Smallest hotel room weā€™ve ever seen anywhere. Very disappointed as weā€™ve stayed at the hotel before but in other rooms. Definitely opt for the more expensive rooms if youā€™re claustrophobic

On first glance the hotel is lovely. But my room had the following: 1. Blood-stained sheets 2. Lamp shade next to the bed was in rags 3. A sharp carpet tack sticking straight up out of the carpet next to the bed. Additionally, this was a room with BRIGHT flood lights directly outside the windows. The light was impossible to keep out of the room. Had I been staying longer than one night I would have changed rooms. At checkout I brought all of these issues to the attention of the hotel staff. She assured me that I would be getting an apology and a partial refund when the manager arrived at 2 PM! The Settles is the most expensive and historic hotel in the region. Sadly, it is NOT worth the money.
