Off the Beaten Path!!

Quiet and Beautiful Country Living. Wi-Fi is throughout the Cabin. Huge, covered parking. Smells and noises of country life. You can hear the coyotes and occasional dogs barking at night (I have several dogs). You are welcome to wander the property. I have 2 heifers in a pen not far from the Cabin. Besides the heifers I also have ducks, and chickens. Fresh eggs are always available. Amenities included are; air conditioning/heating, washer/dryer combo, full kitchen, shower, outdoor patio w/grill, electric indoor fireplace, 50" tv, DVD player, books, board games and more.

Kind hosts, comfortable stay
We enjoyed our stay. The house was clean and comfortable. The night stars were beautiful. We loved that the dogs would greet us every morning as soon as we opened the door. The eggs were delicious, and the hosts were wonderful. If you're looking for a rustic but comfortable place to get away. This is it. My son is already asking when we can go back! Thank you!

Remote dog friendly cabin
Clean and dog friendly. Nice remote location for some mental decompression. Close enough to Socorro if you need something. Wifi was great, bandwidth might be a little low for streaming, but to be expected if you're further out of town. Close to a lot of outdoor spaces to go visit and explore. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Amazing...I mean AMAZING SUNRISE here
I have never had the experience of being IN a sunrise or sunset until we stayed here. It was one of the most amazing things. We enjoyed the cows, dogs and rural setting...very quiet. We also loved being able to take our pets along with us.

We liked the spacious rooms and they were spotless. Washer& dryer were a great convenience and worked very well. Additional blankets were needed on the cold night we stayed. We couldn’t adjust to abandoned buildings, vehicles and trailers in Mountainair and around the cabin.

Out of the way, nice stay.
We enjoyed staying here and using it as a base to explore central NM. The host took care to ensure guests have everything needed to be comfortable. While convenient to several interesting sites, it is not a destination in itself.

Great little place for our stay
The property is great for the area, the house had everything we needed and then some. It was what we needed when we were in town hunting and I will certainly stay again if I am back in the area. It is much nicer than staying in a hotel and offers more space and privacy. I highly recommend.

Great place off the beaten path
The couple who own this place are incredible! Very friendly and helpful. We like that this place is in a semi remote location, but still close to Socorro. There are two cows on the property along with chickens. So cool! The place was very clean. Beautiful views of the mountains! If you’re used to staying at top of the line resorts, this place may not be for you. But it was perfect for us!

Friendly owners. Property has a few shortcomings.
Very friendly owners. Responded quickly to any questions I had. Check-in was painless. The property fit our needs: close to the Trinity monument, the Very Large Array, and Pie Town. You should be aware of a few things that may or may not be important to you. The second bedroom is accessed through the first bedroom. The bathroom shower is very small and may be an issue if you're a large person. Although I'm normal size, I found it difficult to bend over to wash my feet. The internet service is very slow (KB range). Anything requiring streaming is not possible. For television junkies, the local cable TV service is nearly unusable. The is no Guide showing either network or program for any channel. Just a list of channels that you must scroll slowly to see what's on. Lastly, one of my pet peeves: no tissues anywhere. I hate using toilet paper to blow my nose or wipe off my face. Again, this property worked for me and my son-in-law. We enjoyed the Socorro area.

Ever since 2020 we haven't been able to go anywhere or do anything due to medical conditions however we reached that breaking point on we need to get away. This was a last minute stay and it was just what we needed. We were able to maintain that social distancing and get some much needed time away. The cabin was cute and had everything for our trip. Quick turn around
I stayed at this property both coming and going from AZ to northern New Mexico; went right down the freeway to Socorro for a nice lunch both times, so convenient. the home is better suited for a family as it has two bedrooms; it is comfortable and very clean. Thank you Carol
