Quiet and Nice Neighborhood
This house was located in a quiet neighborhood that was just a short walk (15 minutes) to downtown Old Orchard Beach and beach access which was nice to have when we brought our two dogs on vacation with us. The cleanliness of this property was a little upsetting as it seemed it was just cleaned quickly and left as is. We were provided with enough towels for the week with dishwasher tablets and dish soap. The backyard was big enough for the location.

Broken Promises, Can't Give a 5 Star Rating!
The house was smaller in size than the picture made it look. The house and property itself was fine. The floors were filthy, as tho it hadn't been touched since last year. The refrigerator did not operate correctly, causing us to have to throw out $200 in the food we bought. It took forever to get someone to come and fix it. The internet didn't work until a couple hours before we left for the airport. The front door was falling out of the frame. It took forever to get someone to respond as well as come to see the issues and then to get them addressed/fixed. No one met us there when checking in, as promised to us.We felt abandoned from lack of communication or concern for us. We spent a fortune eating out since we could not store food in the refrigerator. Sun Sands always promised to get back to us/notify someone of our issues, but mostly didn't respond. We were finally promised $160 credit for the spoiled food, but have not received it up to this time. We've been home for 2 weeks. We are exremely disappointed in the management of this rental. Someone should have done a walk-thru of this house before we got here, since an employee told us they were aware that the fridge was bad and blamed it on the cleaning lady not putting ice in the freezer, resulting in it plugging up and not cooling. then we would not have had to deal with the hanging front door, no internet/tv at all or no use of the fridge. Also it needs NEW beds and mattresses downstairs. Very old and uncomfortable!

Pleasantly surprised
Our group of three was pleasantly surprised and relieved that the rental property was just as it was described in the online listing. We spent most of our days birding on the coast but enjoyed cooking and eating together in the evenings. We were concerned that the cottage would struggle to keep us warm given the near-zero temperatures but found the large heater in the living room to work sufficiently. We did need to keep the bedroom doors open to circulate the heat. Our host was very easy to communicate with and I appreciated his patience, being a first-time user of VRBO. We look forward to future stays at this location.

Cozy, quaint home
Overall, good place to stay. Two of the four beds were not that comfortable but we only needed two so it worked out for us. Everywhere was clean and a decent amount of supplies were provided for our stay. We were also offered additional nights stay at a great price and were happy to stay a few more days. The location is great, near the beach and nice spots to eat. The living area is small and lacks an actual dining table but the couch was so comfortable to curl up on with dinner. Bar stool seating also available for 2. The home could use some updates but it definitely has a charm to it. We would return in the summer.

Cute little spot
Overall was a super cute home. Needs a little tlc inside. Says sleeps 8. If all adults would probably be a bit tight especially in the common areas and could use a kitchen table. Upstairs was a bit brisk for sleeping could use either a fan to push the heat or some floor vents. Overall we were happy with our stay.

Great house in a perfect location
The house was exactly what we were looking for. A great location - easy 10 mins walk to the beach and less than 20 mins to the pier but set in a quieter neighborhood. The house itself was spacious and the owners were great about checking in via text to make sure we had everything we needed. Would definitely stay again!

We will be back!
Excellent location! Very close to the beach and various eating/ shopping areas. We were impressed by the size of the upstairs bedrooms, which you could reasonably throw down a twin air mattress if needed. Linens and towels were a nice surprise. It was a great stay and we will be back!

The initial process was easy, good communication once connecting with the manager of tbe property through telephone. House was clean, minimal kitchen cookware/glasses. Messaged the manager about items needing to be addressed with response but then no actual action to fix the deadbolt on the back door. House is nice, good location but needs some areas addressed. Overall I would give it a 3 1/2 stars based on other rentals we have stayed at in multiple states.
