Property and amenities were great, great restaurants and bars. For the price of the rooms the hotel should offer you bottled water and not charge $5.25. Also they had coffee for the guests but only until 8:30 am. Would be nice if they extended it to 11am.

Unexpected gem just need less kid hours
This is a very beautiful resort sitting right on the water with an attached marina. Food was delicious and service wonderful throughout the property. Our room's balcony overlooked the front entrance which was decent despite not being water front. The luxury room was very spacious!! There were some minor upgrades to be done in the bathroom but overall, a charming, quiet and relaxing room. Spa service was excellent and the spa was very relaxing! My main critique for this place is to designate kids hours at the pools. When you're spending a lot of money on a resort and amenities, its off putting to constantly have kids screaming at the pool all day/night even until 10pm. There needs to be adult only time. Bc the pools are attached to the spa as well, the relaxation factor goes down to zero after your service. I also feel that little children should never be allowed in the hot tubs. Other than that, a very friendly, picturesque place to stay in a little quaint Connecticut town!

The Best!
Another wonder stay! We’ve been coming to this property for almost 10 years! All the staff is extremely friendly, courteous, professional and knowledgeable. Scott, at the front desk is always ready with a smile to help out guests in any way he can. Chris the Manager is the best! Truly hands on. The food at Fresh Salt is delicious and the waitstaff terrific. The surroundings are beautiful and comfortable. I highly recommend staying here!

Saybrook stay
This was our first time to Connecticut, and we truly enjoyed the hotel. The room was clean and authentic to the time it was built we liked being able to take the bikes into town and having the restaurant on site.

Prices for breakfast and drinks a little high. Butter should be included with breakfast. Bike rental, shuttle service excellent. Front desk staff Top Notch.

We spent many years on the docks as boating guests, but this year returned as hotel guests. We had a beautiful room overlooking the marina and sound. The staff from the front desk to the dining staff was very friendly making for a relaxing stay. No request was too small and was attended to immediately. Would highly recommend.
