Casa da Amêndoa is our latest addition a one bedroom 32m2 cottage, it stands at the heart of our 2-hectare estate Casa Nova Safra in Moncarapacho.
Surrounded by almond (amendoa) trees, this is an ideal place for relaxation and bird watching.
Enjoy the many bird songs in the morning while eating your breakfast in your own private little garden that has lounge seating, a charcoal barbecue and sunbeds.
The 32 square meter cottage accommodates up to two visitor. With an open living with kitchen area, separate bedroom with double bed and bathroom with walk-in shower.
There is a centrally located air conditioning to facilitate a comfortable holiday environment all year round.
Casa Nova Safra is located in nature, but with fast access to the national roads or the highway (A22) to visit one of the beautiful villages or cities Portugal has to offer. Fuseta beach or the ferries to Ilha de Farol or Ilha de Armona are only a 10-15 minute drive from Casa Nova Safra.
Moncarapacho, 3 km south from us is proud of its church of Santo Cristo, with beautiful doorways and painted arches.
In the region, the Parque Natural da Ria Formosa is considered the most important sanctuary of wildlife in the Algarve. Its salt beds, lagoons, marshes, channels and islets are abundant in shellfish such as cockles, clams and oysters and shelter, amongst other species, a variety of birds such as the cattle egret, the white stork, the purple gallinule, the red-crested pochard, etc. This natural reserve stretches along 60 kilometres (40 miles) and its rich ecosystem is ideal for the development of varied fauna and flora.
The Algarve offers an ideal year round climate as recommended by the World Health Organisation. It contains some beautiful coastal scenery and inland forests and trails. There are many blue flag beaches as well as various golf courses and recreational activities to enjoy such as tennis, scuba diving and hiking. The cities of Tavira, Faro, Loule offer an excellent shopping and cultural experience and the theme parks and water parks make it an ideal destination.
Things you need to know:
* The pool is not available this year, because of the severe draught Portugal is experiencing.
* You may walk freely on our property, please feel free to pick and enjoy the nesperas in May/June, the grapes in July, the figs in August, our the almonds starting from September.
* We have amazing friendly dogs walking freely on our property Casa Nova Safra.
'Lilli' is our 9 year old Portuguese shepherd dog (Barbado da Teceira). Also 'Lu' our daughters 3 year old Cane Corso. Sometime they like to bark and maybe look dangerouse or sad they are certainly not.
You may always play with them, but please do NOT feed them. They are allergic to gluten.
* Smoking is forbidden inside our villas, please be aware of the risk of the fire in Portugal, do not discard cigarettes on the ground.
*We have beach towels and umbrellas on request.
* If your stay with us is longer than 8 days, we will come and refresh your bed linnen & towels during your stay.
