We had a lovely stay at Casa Veronica. We were there with our two young children (1 and 3) so having a heated pool, a well stocked shop nearby and a quiet safe beach so close made our lives so much easier. It was also very convenient for Faro airport but still quiet and secluded. The house had everything we needed and Helen and Dirk were both very responsive and helpful.

Fabulous house in a great secluded location
This was a lovely houseā€¦.so easy to find by car travelling from the airport. The location of the house is really great, secluded with beautiful vistas. The interior of the house is so comfortableā€¦the living room area is just wonderful with tv, wifi, etc. The bedrooms had the comfiest of bedsā€¦in fact the house had everything you needed for a wonderful relaxing holiday. The owner Helen was so quick to reply to any questions that we had and the agent Dirk was on hand to deal with any problems that may arise. All in all a wonderful holiday in a superbly located houseā€¦..highly recommendedā€¦we will return.

We were a family of 8 staying at casa veronica. We had such a lovely stay. The Villa Is very spacious and very homely. Both kids and adults had endless hours of fun in the pool. We spent numerous nights enjoying what we referred to as the snug ticked away at the side of the pool. This little hide away so absolutely beautiful of an evening having bbqs and family meals down there. This villa has the most stunning views which added more to this great holiday. Also have to mention dirk the property manager. We made contact a few times with dirk for general thing such recommendations on places to watch football and local markets we could to. Di rim was very helpful and ensured a lot of info was sent to help with are needs

Lovely relaxing stay
Beautiful villa, photos don't do it justice. 10-20 mins in car from Olhao, Tavira, Fuseta and many stunning beaches, restaurants and tourist attractions. Well appointed villa with all mod cons. It is up a dusty track so be prepared for that but the roads around are very quiet and easy to drive. 4 big bedrooms, 1 ensuite and 2 other bathrooms so ideal for bigger groups. Comfy beds, plenty bedding and towels. Kitchen has everything you need with a separate utility room. Lounge and dining area very spacious with added bonus of two outside areas for shade and relaxing. BBQ. High spec TV, speaker and WiFi for the teenagers!! We all loved the house and feeding the visiting cats. 5 mins to an Intermarche in Moncarapacho so easy for shopping and takeaway cooked chicken for an easy meal if not dining out. Owner also shared some great info on the local towns and places to visit or eat out. Definitely need a car but lots of walks in the neighbourhood too. A minor issue with one of the much needed Aircon units was resolved promptly by Dirk and he communicated regularly to check all OK. Views from the pool down to the coast ate stunning. Overall a great value villa in a rural location. Thoroughly recommend, would stay again.

Well organized home equipped with everything a family of 7 with ages ranging from 6 to 71 needed. Clean, nice pool and patios, nice quiet neighborhood. A car is essential to reach beaches and local cities.

We had a lovely stay. Villa more spacious than photos suggest, very well equipped and good aircon - pool excellent size. Great sea view. Moncarapacho village short drive (10 mins) - several restaurants there and small supermarket - but too far to walk especially at night. We visited Olhao - great fish market and plenty of restaurants, ferries to nearby island beaches, Tavira - pretty town to explore and Praia do Baril beach - all easily accessible. You do need a car as quite rural - taxis will do airport run but not local trips. Directions to villa need a bit more detail as difficult to find at night - distances would be good. Overall, great stay, owner very easy to deal with - would definitely return.

Lovely Family Villa
The property was excellent with spacious rooms for all the family . Well equipped and spotlessly clean . Quite isolated which is fine as no noisy neighbours only a cockerel crowing and dogs barking from time to time The real bonus was the enclosed snug bbq by the pool especially as the evenings were still cool and of course the pool which everybody loved . The view across to the sea was fabulous . Moncarapacho is a nice town but further away than we thought . The smaller village which was closer had no facilities . Overall for a week it was delightful . We hope to come again next year .

Highlights were. - the heated pool, my other half never normally ventures into the pool but this was lovely and warm, just the right size and depth, and we were both in it everyday. - the lovely view from the patio across the fields and down to the sea - I also enjoyed watching the planes heading into Faro airport, the Fliught Radar App was on overtime! Property was nice and clean and Helen was very quick to respond throughout the booking process. We did have a minor issue with the villa's internet but this was subsequently sorted by Dirk. I wasn't aware when booking that there was another property close to the villa across the drive but they can't see into the property and apart from the occasional vehicle visiting them, there was no real noise. Like anywhere in rural Portugal, there are dogs barking and cockerels crowing in the distance but the villa was still a lovely secluded retreat so these weren't an issue. Great base for exploring the Eastern Algarve, we travelled out to Santa Luzia, Tavira, Olhao and even across to Spain from Alcoutim.

Excellent stay at the villa, so peaceful and relaxing. Pool area and BBQ area are amazing and the air con is a real bonus! Definitely need a car to get around as the local villages and towns are hidden gems. Didn't get to do everything on our list which gives us an even better excuse to return again. Helen was very helpful with advice and her communication. Dirk the property manager was excellent and a fountain of local knowledge. Hopefully will return again next year.

Very peaceful rural position with lovely views yet within easy reach of coast , shops etc . The house is very well equipped and spacious ( there were 4 of us ) Plenty of outside space both shady and sunny and of course a pool . Excellent and helpful contact with the owner prior to arrival ensured everything went smoothly - the only slight hitch was quickly rectified by Dirk . It's true that the track leading up to the house is rather rough but that's what hire cars are for ! Yes , there is a fair amount of barking from dogs at certain times but that's quite usual in rural locations abroad and it didn't adversely affect our stay . All in all an extremely pleasant stay in a very different part of the Algarve .

Wonderful relaxing retreat in the Algarve
I absolutely love this house! We stayed there with a couple of friends middle of May 2017 and I am already looking so forward to come back again next year!!! It's a secluded holiday home at the end of a cul de sac, up the hill, overlooking rural surroundings and the ocean. So peaceful, all you can hear are some cicadas. All the plants around the garden were in full bloom (springtime ā€¦ amazing field of flowers in the back yard) and there were lots of swallows flying around, and even white doves. And a little shy cat came around for dinner every night :) The bedrooms are very comfy and spacious (lots of cabinets to store your stuff), and so is the rest of the villa ā€¦ super cosy living room and a very well equipped kitchen ā€¦ we did not miss a thing! There's a capsule coffee machine but I was so glad to find a plunger as well :D I'm very much about sustainable living, so I was stoked to see those solar panels, and I told the owner the only thing I was not perfectly happy with is the shared shower, because there's not so much of water coming out (being a German haha) ā€¦ but the other 2 showers are fine, and it's good to save on water anyway ;) Also the eco mode on the dishwasher is crap, if you use it, you gotta wash/dry the dishes again, but the regular mode is doing it's job! What I loved most about this place (besides the private pool, we even did a skinny dip hehe) was the BBQ area ā€¦ we spent such a lovely evening down there. Beautiful light setting (and my favourite WiFi music), and the local dourada we bought in the supermarket was the tastiest ever! They have these fish grillers (idk how to call it) in one of the top cubboards, and even the coal and fire starters were provided. Also some other people left behind some delicious Algarve honey and organic olive oil ā€¦Ā oh I wish this carries on :) Some other tipps about the area: All the villages east of Faro are very authentic and well worth a visit ā€¦ old towns, churches, cafes/bars/restaurants, markets, delicous food and cheap beer. You need a rental car to go there, or a cab driver. I can highly recommend www.travelwithwolf.com (up to 8 passengers, super friendly and reliable.) In Olhao (awesome place for murals btw) you can rent bikes for a day trip to Praia do Barril (11k one way), a beautiful beach, with a little train for the last 1.5k, cool for kids. In Faro you can hop on a boat to cruise around the Ria Formosa National Park and also enjoy the pumping night life. We all left happy as!!!

Nous avons passƩ 2 semaines dans cette maison. TrƩs propre et fidƩle Ơ la description avec cette superbe vu sur la plage, proche de toute commoditƩ. Maison Ơ environ 10minutes de Olhao 20 de Faro ( autoroute pas loin). seule point noir, le chemin acces pour la maison en pente avec des troux donc doucement mais surrement. Les Ʃchanges avec les proprietaires ont ƩtƩ trƩs respectueux et toujours dans la bienveillance de nos questions. Je conseille cette location sans soucis.

PropriĆ©taire et gestionnaire attentifs et efficaces. Un conseil : demander un plan d'accĆØs dĆ©taillĆ© dans la documentation car impossible de trouver sans aide du gestionnaire. c'est un dĆ©tail mais qui peut compter si l'arrivĆ©e est tardive . Nous avons passĆ© de superbes vacances entre amis (2 couples + 4 enfants de 1 an Ć  8 ans) la maison est grande et trĆØs confortable, possĆØde tout ce qu'il faut pour y passer de bons moments, la propriĆ©taire trĆØs accessible par message, comprĆ©hensive et rassurante. La maison est complĆØtement isolĆ©e sans voisinage. Grande piscine, attention pas de sĆ©curitĆ© autour (ni barriĆØre ni alarme). Villa mit allem was man braucht
Wir genossen zu fĆ¼nft schƶne 8 Tage in der groƟen und gut ausgestatteten Villa, das schƶne SpƤtsommerwetter, die schƶne Aussicht und den Pool. Die Zufahrt ist etwas steinig und die HĆ¼hner waren schon mal etwas frĆ¼h wach aber das trĆ¼bte den guten Gesamteindruck nicht.
