Good hotel - shame about the beds.
Have stayed at this hotel at least 6 times over last few years in various rooms and price ranges. Each time the hotel and rooms were clean and tidy, good service, food and bar - our only concern what’s been the beds - uncomfortable, double beds not wide enough. Have never had a good nights sleep in any of them. Shame, as it is the only thing that lets the hotel down.

They’ve got it right!
The stand-out feature of our stay was the check-in and staff experience. We were welcomed by ‘Non’ who was super-friendly and genuinely warm towards us; the best host! Our ‘Signature Room’ was completely stunning, far exceeding our expectations. The styling is excellent with all amenities and the bath in the centre of the room is a wonderful feature. We ate in the ‘snug’ and the menu choices and GF options were superb. Food was served promptly and was delicious. We recommend this hotel to other couples without question.

Slightly shabby but not shabby chic!
Staff were excellent, very friendly and we ate here one evening of our stay..the meal was extremely good. Sadly the rooms did not meet our expectations.We opted for superior and so glad we did as quite poor compared to other recent uk stays.

A very nice hotel. Our room overlooked the courtyard and was beautifully decorated. Clearly they have had an issue with theft, as there are plenty of reminders in the room, that you will be charged for anything found missing (rightly so, in my opinion). The bath was very slippery, so maybe an option for a bath mat would be great. The shower was great and instantly warm. The selection on the tea tray was also very welcoming. Thank you for the hot chocolate option!. Parking was a slight issue, but easily resolved. There is plenty of street parking available. The market square is more limited, just read the signs.

Great find!
We loved The Bull and Olney was an amazing find! Literally a pin in the map as we wanted a convenient stop on our way to Norfolk. It’s a beautiful town, several lovely boutiques and plenty of coffee shops and eateries. We also felt it was a lot less run down than a number of other towns we’ve visited. And The Bull turned out to be a really excellent choice! The hotel is centrally located, and our room was in the old stables - which was lovely, very quirky, we had everything we needed and it was really easy to take the dogs out. Unfortunately we were only able to stay one night, so we ate at The Bull in the evening. We both enjoyed the monkfish special followed by sticky toffee pudding. Breakfast the following morning was equally good and delicious. We will definitely look forward to coming back to Olney and The Bull.
