Slide is 48" Minimum
We booked this for the water slide and pool as a staycation. Really sad to find out the slide had a 48" height minimum despite it dumping in 3ft of water. The smaller slides at another pool dumped in 5ft of water and babies were going down them with no minimums. The attendant running it only enforced the height minimum for some kids which was hard to explain to my kids. Otherwise, room was clean and roomy, the request to do the timeshare presentation wasnt too pushy and the minigolf was a nice addition! Guess we will be back when we hit 48"

Calypso Cay Ammenities - beware, the rules for children change every day, inconsistent training amongst staff. For height requirements they will tell you something one day and change it up next day. My son was having a great time down using their slides all day and suddenly on the last day they changed staff and they didnt let him in because he was 2 inch below the requirement. I had a terrible last day due to them not being able to traing their staff properly Air conditioner leaked all throughout our stay our carpet was fully soaked and they didnt do anything at all. Sofa bed mattess smelled like pee and it was highly uncomfortable, I dont recommend sleeping there unless you want back pain. The lobby staff was amazing and friendly, they were very welcoming. The breakfast was okay, good options and very clean. The splash pad never worked, always under maintenance during our stay.

We stayed 7/23/24 and the hotel was okay. They need to update the rooms, bathrooms, and get rid of the filthy carpet everywhere. There was hair on the shower wall from previous people. The bed and pillows are terrible. We had to ask for another room because room 226 smelled so bad it was making us nauseous. The breakfast was average and nice to know if was free. The pool area and sprinkler area was good. Lifeguard on duty never picked her head up from her phone the entire time. There was a sewer backup and they quickly cleaned it up and tried to get rid of the smell as quickly as possible. In my opinion the hotel outside area was good, but not enough to make up for old dirty carpet and horrible bed/pillows.

The premises were beautiful. Just wish they had indoor amenities because all the fun ones were outside and it rained all weekend.

Our 3 night stay was good, beds were comfortable slept good. The only thing was we were 5 & the sofa bed was dirty & mattress was not comfortable at all good thing I took my own inflatable bed. Overall staff was friendly the continental breakfast was average good thing for the Mickey waffle maker.
