The best inn in a long, long time!
E best part was that the owner is an extra sweet person! Besides all the good service (she prepared breakfast with all the things we like the most, as we were the only ones in the inn! She asked us first!), she prepared a kind of “surprise party” for my birthday!!

Friendly central hotel in a wonderful town
Ouro Preto is an amazing and very friendly town, steeped in history that has links to the UK. It is easy to walk around (steep hills), with churches, museums, galleries, tourist mines, and good restaurants. It helps if you speak some Portuguese. This hotel is located ideally for exploring the town on foot. The hotel is simple, very friendly, quiet, clean and comfortable. Breakfast is good, with amazing views of the rooftops and hills beyond - good for birdwatchers. Excellent transfer service from Belo Horizonte Confins airport with Esse Trem Turismo (book via www.ouropretomg.com).

Delightful guesthouse close to the beach
The guesthouse staff are very helpful and friendly and this was a terrific introduction to Brazil. They helped with advice about seeing the sights of Salvador and the ordering of taxis. The city requires some care with planning visits to Pelhourinho owing to areas where there is urban violence and we appreciated all the advice we received.The breakfast room is delightful, and the food delicious. Our room was spacious and we had a giagantic bathroom. The location is superb - very short walk to the promenade area and beach in Barra. This is an excellent choice for your visit to Salvador. It is quiet at night.

Fomos recepcionados de forma muito atenciosa, nos explicando TUDO sobre a cidade e seus encantos. Quarto confortável e café da manhã delicioso em especial tenho que ressaltar o fato de terem prestado atenção a uma conversa nossa e no dia seguinte servido itens a mais que posso incluir em minha dieta (não como animais) o que achei de extrema delicadeza. Nos aconselhou de forma correta sobre o que fazer, onde ir e a deixar o carro estacionado (rs). Me hospedaria com certeza novamente.

Ok, a localizacao eh excelente, quarto reformado e tamanho razoável, café da manhã bom numa sala bem aconchegante. O pessoal eh simpático, limpeza impecável. Porém, péssima cama! de tamanho casal, com dois colchão antigo um em cima do outro! realmente péssimo pelo valor. Televisão antiga, e apenas uma cadeira e uma mesa pequenina.
