As one of the few upscale cabin rentals in the 98,500-acre Sardis Lake and Dam area, 16 Murphey Road is located directly on the water with Lake views. Enjoy the luxurious professionally decorated lakefront property as it boasts of five bedrooms (sleeps up to 14 people) and provides everything (except for your clothes and food) for you to enjoy your stay as you tour the local attractions. The ease-of-use floor plan has the Dining Room, Kitchen, 2 bedrooms, full bath/laundry down (laundry detergent is provided), and Family Room as it is adjoined by the Screened-In Porch with wonderful views of the waterfront. There are 3 eating areas; Dining table (6); Kitchen Bar (3); Screened Porch (4). If you prefer to eat outdoors, there is a picnic table as well. The bedrooms comfortably accommodate your whole group: Master, Queen bed; 2nd Bedroom, Full bed; 3rd bedroom, Queen bed; 4th bedroom, King bed and futon; 5th Bedroom, Bunk with double bottom and twin top. The sofa is oversized and can be used as a bed. The upstairs has 3 bedrooms and 1 bath with some views of the Lake.
16 Murphey Road is conveniently located 8 miles from Batesville, MS which hosts quaint shopping, like Stubbs Department store or many of the antique shops in the area. The Batesville Walmart is a short drive from the cabin.
The food in the area is some of Mississippi’s finest dining…from the 5-star restaurants in Oxford (20 miles) to the World-Famous Como Steak house (12 miles) where reservations are always encouraged for parties of 8 or more. If there are fewer than 8 in your party, be sure to get there early!
Finding things to do will have your family and friends all having a wonderful time, as within 2-25 miles there is something for everyone. Be sure to visit Oxford Square, which has many small boutique shops, bookstores, Neilson’s Department Store, and numerous restaurants from which to choose! When your day is over, come back to the cabin and relax on the Screened-In Porch with a glass of wine or an ice-cold beer reminiscing about your unforgettable day in Oxford, home to the Ole Miss Rebels at the University of Mississippi! Game day where tailgating in the stadium is legendary.
For those of you who would rather enjoy the Recreational activities in the Sardis Dam area, there are walking trails, children’s playgrounds, and volleyball courts in the John W. Kyle State Park, you might find yourself fishing at the spillway. No fishing from the dock. Bring your boat and enjoy tubing and skiing on the lower lake where most of the time, the water is as “smooth as glass”! Catch the rays on the beaches, too! The Sardis Lake Marina is 3-4 minutes from the cabin; the public boat ramp is about 3 minutes from the cabin. During crappie season, the cabin has had the privilege of hosting fishermen from MI, KS, KY, NY, AR, LA, IL, MO, OK, TX, MI, MS, SD, ND, NJ, OH, GA and AL just to name a few.
If the Casino peeks your interest, they are just a few miles up the road in Tunica and Always remember that Elvis’s Graceland is about 45 miles from the lake house.

Please NOTE: If you would like to fish, the spillway is about 3 minutes away. The dock at the cabin is off limits due to damage caused by high water over the last couple of years. We are waiting on the Core of Engineers to approve a new retaining wall and dock. There is a fence and gate blocking the area to be repaired.
