I stayed in an upstairs room in a queen room. The room is small but it has everything. The bed was of the right support, so it is nice. The water pressure in the shower was good, a definite plus. Unfortunately there were two upstairs units, and the wall was thin, so I could hear the neighbors talking. The property is one block away from Asilomar State Beach, so it’s a nice walk to see sunset and crushing waves.

The front desk staff could definitely use a few courses on customer service and just plain old friendliness, but besides that, this motel/hotel is really nice considering the price. The bed was very comfortable, mattress was nice and soft. The neighbourhood couldn’t be better. Nice property overall.

We had the king bed cottage, with a small patio. The room and the patio were great. My wife says, "The cottage is adorable." I especially appreciated the firm mattress 🙂 . We interacted with three different staff and all three were very helpful, polite, courteous, and friendly. We have only two constructive comments: 1) There needs to be more lamp light in the "living room." There was only one lamp and the overhead light of the vaulted ceiling was too dim. 2) The shower of the room next to us was on the wall where the head of our bed was. Both nights we were there, people showered late. The noise of the shower--not the people, but the shower--was so loud it woke us. It was REALLY, REALLY loud.

Perfect location

A quick stay at the Bide-A-Wee. The room was smallish but had a comfy bed, with a fridge and coffee fixings. The room itself needs a little TLC (fixtures, paint) but all in all, it was just fine. We were adjacent to an outdoor seating area with a firepit, which was a plus! Would definitely stay again.

Cozy spot

Great location within walking distance from the lighthouse and beach. The property is very dog friendly. Our cottage was so nice with the kitchenette, patio and chairs, and fireplace.

Location was ideal for this family vacation - short walk to the ocean and a good stroll to Pacific Grove and Monterey sights. Staff also very friendly. However, breakfast offerings ran out several times over the long weekend.
