Upon arrival I could hear yelling and objects being thrown into the walls. The noise was coming from the hotel office. Manager was not at all helpful, and couldn’t be reach. I noticed a security and safety issue in sleeping area. The room had a back door which wouldn’t lock properly. Windows were old and some of them had broken locks. Gas fire place was unavailable to properly shut off, it had an ON and OFF switch which didn’t work. When opening bathroom door panel from bottom of tub would fall or slam, there were whole on bottom of bathroom wall. Overall not very welcoming or safe for families traveling with children. I tried to check out of hotel, but was told I could because manager had left for the day, and was unavailable to be reached. I had to just leave and check- in to a different hotel.

A nice quiet place in natural surroundings. Bed was a little tired. We thought it had a kitchenette according to the Expedia description and planned to cook. But it was only a mini fridge and a microwave. Expedia only offered a $9 credit for the issue.

Love going to Pacific Grove, it’s right down the street from the beach which we love it’s quiet Russia is very kind and she will accommodate you always been going here for over six years and never a problem

Needs a bit of TLC.
Very disappointed. We've gone here for a number of years and the property seems to be deteriorating. We found damaged carpet, wallpaper peeling off the walls, faucet fixtures loose, fire place not working properly. We used to enjoy our stay here. It needs a bit of improvement.
