This is a great hotel, it has an industrial vibe to it. We attended the Candlelight Concert and it was perfect! We will definitely stay here again, very close to nightlife and a great coffee shop (etcetera) and bakery!

Loved the history and the area. On the website it’s listed as a bed and breakfast. It would be better if there were some sort of breakfast served.

This was our first, and definitely not the last, time staying at The 1857. We were in town for a concert at the Carson Center and HIGHLY recommend this hotel. It is literally just across the street from the venue! And the hotel rain shower...I don't know how we didn't use up all the hot water in the hotel because the shower itself was a spa experience. Kudos for the high-end shampoo, conditioner, and soap! Overall, I have zero complaints about The 1857.

Nice property. Very clean, and walkable to several dining options. The afternoon/night shift front desk employee is quite rude, but the morning staff are the gold-standard of how it should be. We travel to Paducah multiple times a month, and will probably stay here again. Hopefully the rude staffer was just having a bad night.

A gem! Room was great—excellent bed, great shower, spacious and beautiful. Best of all was Michelle who gave advice on dining and assisted with a tv glitch. She was delightful! We’ll be back!

The front desk worker was not friendly. The room had historical charm but was too small for two people. There was no place to hang clothes /coats except two hooks on either side of the open access shower. We had to put our jackets on the bed to keep them dry so we could have a shower. There was no fridge in the room and no breakfast. The location was walkable to downtown restaurants and sites.

We stumbled on this place after a long day of driving. It was further off the expressway than we intended to go but we loved it when we got there. Cute, quaint, very friendly staff, cute old bar and, even though it was closed, they lets us in for a glass of wine. We hope to go back and explore the area a bit and we'll stay at 1857.

Will never stay again!
Could hear people entering and exiting the building as well as walking up steps on both sides of the room. Triple ensure you don’t forget anything in your room on checkout. Their policy is to “throw it away” no matter what it is.

We were only in for an evening. Staff was great! Walked around town- would highly recommend Freight House for dinner - pricy but so worth it and you won’t leave hungry or disappointed. We heard Max was a great spot for brick oven pizza. Breakfast we went to Gold Rush - great breakfast and customer service!!!
