Property was very central to all attractions in Palermo. Just out the door to all the street eats you could ask for. Comfortable for all our needs. Excellent stay. A little confusing arrival since the property in on a non drivable street… tho part of the adventure. Host was very accommodating & good communication.

We enjoyed our three weeks at this VRBO location. The descriptor was totally accurate about the facility, and watching the daily routine of the people working and visiting the market. The action started around 7 am but every day it was cleaned up and quiet by 3 pm. The apartment was within walking distance of the main attractions and many restaurants. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Mauricio was a gracious and helpful host e.g. providing a new toaster and coffee maker. Upon request. Awesome! Of note, and we don’t remember the descriptor of the apartment, but be prepared for stairs. It worked for us, but just so you know.

Excellent Property. Large and plenty of space for 4 people. Was well stock with everything you need. Excellent location and in a local market, which was interesting to walk through, and gone by 5pm so no noise at night. Highly recommend this property

Maurizio's spacious apartment is situated in an excellent location. It has everything you might need to enjoy your stay. Communication with Maurizio was extremely easy and he is an excellent host, welcoming and informative. I have no hesitation in recommending this apartment.

We loved this place. Our host, Maurizio, was very helpful and kind. The apartment is fully set up with everything you'd need in the kitchen and with laundry. There are 5 beds and two floors. The location is perfect for exploring Palermo. There's usually lots of parking on Via Amico Ugo Antonio. It's less than 5min walking from the place. It's 1 euro per hour but free after 8pm and for a period in the afternoon.

Wonderful Appartment
Good sized apartment with two balconies one looked on to the busy market which was great to watch the drama of a typical Sicilian market and the second one was larger and quiet so the best of both worlds. Really well equipped kitchen with everything you need. The air con worked a treat and was essential during hot July. Really quiet and tranquil apartment which I would highly recommend to anyone. Maurizio was a gentleman and gave us a run down of how to work the cooker and left bottled water in the fridge which was a nice touch .He also have us information regarding local travel with train and bus times which was really useful. I would seriously consider going back. The apartment itself is so well positioned a 5-10 minute walk to the centre of Palermo and around the corner from the theatre Massimo where scenes from the Godfather part 3 were shot. Gracie Maurizio

Simply the best value, spacious and centrally located apartment you could wish to find!
We had great communication with Maurizio from beginning to end including helpful advice about taxi sharing from the airport. The apartment was central and in a street filled with character overlooking the market. Other reviews have covered it all but for us, we loved the space and the private terrace at the back, great showers and very well equipped . For location , comfort and value for money, it was the best in Palermo. Thank you Maurizio for a great stay.!

The address was different to the one I was originally given by homeaway. And then different again by owner. Same street but different number 3 times! Very dirty mattresses dirty bathroom and kitchen sink Would not stay here again. Wish I’d not looked at mattresses or sofa under sheets. The dining chairs were filthy and worn out Not comfortable. Smelly bedroom especially. Great location and great people watching balcony but wouldn’t feel safe as lone traveller if arriving after dark.

Spacious apartment above a street market.
My friend and I stayed in this apartment and there was more than enough room or to people! When we first arrived at the apartment there was no electricity, but Maurizio promised to fix the problem soon or he'd help us find other accommodations. Not an hour later we had electricity. Maurizio and his wife were gracious host. I was able to keep in contact with them through WhatsApp, which was super helpful. There was bottled water and a few other edible items in the kitchen to welcome us. It was nice to have a street market below us. My friend and I were able to eat fresh foods and we thoroughly enjoyed this. The only downside that either of us saw was that the market sold fresh fish neither of us is really a fan on the fish smell.

Mitten im Herz von Palermo
12 Tage Palermo im Oktober, Sonne pur aber nicht zu stark, die Tage noch im Sommerzeitmodus. Die FeWo in der Altstadt am Markt, und trotzdem ruhig, geraeumig ueber zwei Etagen,sodass man auch mal seine Ruhe hatte! Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen

Fin lejlighed og beliggenhed. Masser af folkeliv, gode restauranter i nærheden. Dog var det alt for varmt op til 37 grader om dagen og også varme nætter. Aircondition ok i soveværelserne, men kunne godt trænge til en kærlig hånd i stuen.

Wonderful place to stay in beautiful Palermo!
Everything was great! The location is right above the market, so there is always something to watch. Upstairs it was very nice & quiet to sleep. The terrace has sun all afternoon, great to have a coffee when you want some quiet. Wifi was fast, kitchen, bathrooms well equipped. Couldn‘t have been better. Thank you!

Tolle Ferienwohnung in optimaler Lage
Eine schöne Ferienwohnung, direkt über dem Markt. Dort kann man wunderbar lokale Lebensmittel einkaufen. Direkt vor dem Haus findet man ein ausgezeichnetes Angebot zum Mittagessen. Alle Sehenswürdigkeiten sind zu Fuß zu erreichen und auf dem Weg bekommt man einen Eindruck von dem lebendigen Palermo. Sehr zu empfehlen!

Gutes Appartement direkt über dem Markt
Geräumiges und ruhiges Appartement direkt über dem Capo-Markt. Vom Balkon aus kann man dem bunten und abwechslungsreichen Markttreiben zuschauen. Die Schlafzimmer befinden sich im rückwärtigen Teil, so dass man dennoch ruhig schlafen kann. Das Appartement ist sehr reichahltig ausgestattet, so dass man dort auch längerere Zeit leben könnte. Die Lage ist perfekt, um die Altstadt zu Fuß zu erkundigen. Palermo ist eine Reise wert.

Im Herzen von Palermo
Das Appartement ist sehr groß, über 2 Etagen mit 2 Badezimmern, so dass unser 15 jähriger Sohn sich durchaus auch zurückziehen konnte, wenn er wollte. Die Wohnung ist charmant eingerichtet, mit allem, was man braucht. Die Betten sind gemütlich und es gibt eine sonnige Terasse. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Der Vermieter ist sehr entgegenkommend und hilfsbereit. Wer morgens hungrig aufwacht, kann direkt aus der Wohnung auf dem Markt fallen. Überall gibt es leckerste Streetfoot zu kaufen - auch für Vegetarier - probiert auf jeden Fall Panelle und Arancini! Der einzige Nachteil in diesem Appartement war, dass man nachts ein Wasserrauschen in den Wänden hörte ... aber ich habe auch einen sehr leichten Schlaf und dass die Treppe zur Wohnung sehr steil war. Für uns jetzt kein Problem, aber für Menschen, die nicht mehr so gut zu Fuß sind, vielleicht zu schwer.

Die Wohnung ist sehr zentral gelegen, zu Fuß ist alles im Zentrum zu erreichen, der Fisch- und Gemüsemarkt ist buchstäblich vor der Tür. Die Wohnung ist geräumig und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Sie hat einen kleinen Balkon mit Blick auf die Marktstraße. Der Vermieter ist sehr freundlich und unkompliziert. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.
