Take it easy at this Ochockonee bay-waterfront cottage getaway. Sits on a beautiful 1/2 acre wooded lot with old Florida charm. This home has been updated and has a very cozy interior. Do some fishing with 100ft of saltwater or just put your toes in the sand on your own beach in the backyard. Relax with those that matter the most. Boat ramp 5 mins away. There is room to park your boat or RV. Amazing sunsets from the porch over the water is a must see. 10mins to bald point Beach for best sunrise you can ask for.

Great Hideaway!
As the name of the house suggest, this is a great little hideaway. Definitely in a non touristy area, great for fishing and relaxing, close enough to secluded beaches, and bigger towns to have a nice day out of the house. The home is clean and has all the amenities you need. Perfect for fur babies! Communication with the host was so smooth, even during a hurricane. Highly reccomend if youre looking to stay in the area.

Agne was top-notch. The host was amazing! the house was just as described and pictured online. The yard could’ve need a little attention for the mowing, but for the most part overall five star the weather wasn’t necessarily mother nature our best friend for Sun in that but we did get to fish and a little muddy around the beach area around the bay, but that’s come to be normal if you’ve lived in Florida all your life like I have and know the in the marshlands, but other than that top-notch

We had a wonderful time at the cottage. It was exactly as advertised, quiet and convenient to the things we wanted to do. The highlight of our trip was Wakulla Springs boat ride. This is something everyone needs to experience.

MERMAZING secluded spot...the perfect getaway
We live in NW FL and wanted a quick getaway - AWAY from it all; and we found this sweet cottage on the water. With 2 dogs, pet friendly is the only way we go and the owner had a lot of items to use for free for pets, the beach, games, etc... Well appointed and incredibly hospitable and accommodating even though I messed up the reservation and was a day off. The house was clean with nice additions (soft close trash), wall lights for the floor, outdoor chairs and cushions, kitchen stocked with everything you need so you don't have to leave. Which is exactly what we did and we will absolutely be back and highly recommend. (From a couple that was in the hotel business for 25+ years)

An Amazing Place
The home was beautiful, came outfitted with everything you could possibly need including fishing poles, coolers, toys, lawn chairs, even extra toilet paper (post COVID, that's a big deal). The owner/manager Agnes was a delight to work with, and we will definitely be headed back.

On a road trip along the Florida gulf coast. We decided to take a break from hotels, and we book a couple of days at Hideaway Beach Cottage. It did not disappoint. The cottage was kept very clean and stocked with essentials. Sunsets were spectacular over the bay, and a day trip to Appalachicola really showcased the beauty of the area.

Absolutely enjoyed our stay! We were able to check in early, which was such a nice surprise. Walking distance to Angelos seafood restaurant. The house is also dog friendly. Loved our own private beach. Will stay here again. Highly recommend!

Nice little cottage
The cottage was very clean and well appointed. It's set up great for dogs, unfortunately we were not able to bring our dog. It does not have an ice maker nor dishwasher so just be aware in the event that's an issue for you. The bedroom was a little quirky but we were able to make it work for us. Overall loved the place and the location.

Peace of heaven
This little cottage was absolutely perfect!! We stayed for the Labor Day weekend. Our 7 and 12 year olds really enjoyed being waterfront. They were able to play while we cooked & just sat on the back porch to relax. There is a great walking path along side the road too. Perfect for our children to ride their bike & rollerblades. Definitely recommend this little cottage!

We have been looking forward to being in Panacea for many months now! We couldn’t wait to get there Thursday and we were not disappointed!!! Such a beautiful place! The home felt like home!! Wasn’t much we needed to get! Could have done without the bitting flies but other than that it was great! Of course we have bitting flies here at those too! Lol. We will be back soon!!!

Clean but!
Home was clean. No ice maker, no dishwasher table top grill with no outside table. Could only cook maybe 4 burgers at a time. Plenty of beds but only 1 3 person couch to sit on. If you have bad knees it is too hard to get off of. No bedside rugs. King size bed in between 2 doors and no room for bedside table No clock! Lawn needs cutting. Nice small beach on bay.

Wonderful house and great location - right off the Bay with incredible sunsets. Close to St. James and Carabelle and walking distance to Angelo's. Front porch was our favorite place to hang out.
