Nice pool, nice hot tub, right off the highway and next to a gas station. Very convenient. Staff were super friendly and accommodating. I probably wouldn't get a pool view room next time as the chlorine smell gets into the room, but it was a neat 'resort style' experience. The restaurant was understandably a bit understaffed during our visit, which led to a longer wait, but the staff was doing their best under the circumstances. The food was still decent, and the pricing was good.

Would not recommend booking at this location. Obvious signs of being short staffed. Requested room cleaning in the morning at the front desk, assured it would be done, only to return in the evening to learn it was not. Several areas of customer service coaching identified, staff acknowledging they too are aware of the many challenges! Planning a trip/stop in Pembroke just off Hwy 17 ~ head across the street from Best Western to the Holiday Inn and you won’t be disappointed!

To say breakfast is included is a little misleading...breakfast off one enu is inlcuded, but if you choose the other enu you get $8.00 off the price. Also, no towels were available at the pool, we had to search out some. All in all though, nice hotel, lovely grounds and friendly staff! Would stay there again if in Pembroke!

The room definitely not sound proof as advertised woken up at 7 am by people in the pool. Room not as described seriously disappointed

Smelly rooms
Rooms in basement are humid and smell terrible. There is a smell of moisture, wet carpet and cheese. The presence of dehumidifier in hallways and rooms confirms that management and staff is aware of the problem

Poor stay
The welcome was so so and after opening the door of the room that we gave us an employee can’t work happily in this place. The room that we gave us was in the basement, smelling mould and with mould. We were lucky that this employee was able to find us another room on the third floor. Then we use the pool that is in very poor condition. This hotel miss maintenance and love. Better to choose any other.

Front desk gave me a room with a folding couch bed. Not what I expected for my nearly 200.00 fee. Room I was subsequently given was sub standard, vynl siding was pulling off wall and tv was small. Not at all what was expected.

Check in was bizzar.At first, they had me in a handicapped room.room was clean, coffee maker was dirty. Wifi was atrocious, kept disconnecting and was a challenge to reconnect.it wemt to go in the hot tub Saturday night and at ten minutes to ten I was scolded that it was closing from the rude staff at desk. Friday night meal was pricey ,I opted for the Strack and it was almost inedible, and had soo much salt, wasn't worth eating the bartender was sympathetic, and gave great service. The initial waiter was pushy and is in the wrong line of work with regards to customer service. I skipped the breakfast after the first morning as it was rigged to upsell you to pay more, and it was equally dry and tasless and again over salted. I have to many Best Westerns ,and this was by far the worse experience. You live and learn.
