The location is great, the front desk staff was great, they let me check in early. Upon arriving, the toilet was a slow drain, by day 2 it was overflowing. The phone was not working so I had to go to the front desk. She said she would send maintenance up. I know they had empty rooms so I asked to switch as half the floor in my room was now covered in toilet water. She said maintenance would determine if I could switch rooms. Maintenance fixed the problem but the water was not completely cleaned up off the floor in the room. I called down there on their main line from my cell phone. At this time the toilet was on a continual flush mode, so it was constantly flushing. She said she would send them back up. I waited for 30 minutes then went to the beach. She told me I could take the towels from the bathroom and clean it up until they got there. I reminded her I was a guest and not housekeeping. I came back 4 hours later and nothing had been done. They did give me a new room. They would not upgrade me because management had to approve, and management wouldn't be at the location for 2 more days! This would not be my first choice when I come back. I visit the beach at Destin about 4 times a year and this has been my worst experience of the times I have been there.

Perfect vacation getaway.
I loved it. Would come here again. The kids loved it. There were shark sightings in the ocean and also rip tides, so I was not comfortable with the kids getting in the ocean. So I was very thankful for the pool. I was able to relax knowing that the kids were safe and having a good time.

Never located the restaurant which is as not near lobby as indicated. Man behind desk directed us to Manatees which is the bar. Otherwise I would have given 5 stars.

The lady that checked us in was abrupt, almost rude & put out, not offering much information on the hotel or what it had to offer. We were in building C, 112 first floor and the passageway constantly smelled of pot and the ice machine was loud all night and you could hear people talking & walking, doors slamming and elevator dings. The room was ok, but in the morning, the floors were wet so I went to the front desk, they sent someone to mop the floors, which they did a good job, but we were told we had to keep the room at 68 degrees or it woukd happen again. In 60 years of travelling to Florida, Carribbean, Islands and oter States, this is the ONLY time I've been told to do this. The back door to the small patio stuck and you had to shoukder it open, which my wife could not do, since she has cancer. The sink was a wall mount, pedestal type, that had sloped sides, so everything would slip into the sink. The exhaust fan did not work. The handicap shower was great except the curtain took adjusting to keep water front coming onto the floor. The rest of the staff was nice and helpful, the breakfast and Manatee bar, really nice bartenders, had good food and drinks. The pools and hot tub were good, parking spots were readily available and had a descent beach access.

It’s a regular hotel by the water… amenities were minimal bc the main attraction is the proximity to the beach which was GREAT… that’s about it.

Everything was as expected. It was hard to talk to the cleaning staff as many of them did not speak English. One night our bath tub did not have hot water so we were sent to a different building to use another rooms shower. We were glad to be given that option but it was inconvenient, but we took advantage of the balcony while we were there LOL. Overall, the room was given fresh towels when we needed them and cleaned regularly. The property was clean and inviting. Check-in was easy. The pools were not crowded. Beach access was easy and a great selling point for us! Overall it was a great stay. The one main issue I had was I did book through a third party and mixed up my dates when booking. When I tried to change my dates (not the number of nights) the third party agency I booked through said this hotel would not allow me to change my booking dates even though there were rooms available for the dates I was looking for. I ended up making it work for me and my family but I wish I would have been able to change my reservation dates nonetheless.

The Wyndam Garden was a nice place to stay for a quick weekend. It was located on the beach and close to some good food. There is a diner located down stairs for better convenience.

Right on the beach so easy access to the fun and sun, two (2) outdoor pools, a hot tub, walk-up bar, and towels available, great! Only issue is that room was VERY cold, no matter what you adjusted temperature to and the bed only had a sheet and thin cover. If you can't adjust temp in room then they need to give you blankets. Also, they ran out of regular coffee, it was back-ordered.

Phenomenal location but…very dated property. This was my third time staying and unfortunately I can not give it an excellent rating this time around. I paid for the 1 bedroom suite. The stove didn’t work at all so we wasted money on groceries. The provided phone didn’t work. Our second morning there my son came out of the bathroom in a panic because he found a roach crawling across the wall. 3 of the 5 stacks of washer and dryers were out of order along with numerous games in the game room. The exterior shower to rinse off after the beach was also out of order so our room stayed covered in sand because they also didn’t provide a broom this time. Parking was not included and was an additional charge upon checkout unlike my previous stays. The location is absolutely amazing and the cleaning staff were lovely but the hotel itself could definitely use some attention.
