Accommodation Near Peretola Airport\n

Our Florence Airport hotels are perfect whether you’re coming or going in Florence. Just four kms from the city centre, this airport is your gateway to the romantic, Renaissance-rich Tuscan capital and its fabulous food, wine and art. Book one of our Florence Airport hotels and you’ll have the airport AND the city on your doorstep. Wot could be more convenient?

History

A city that began as one of Caesar’s colonies, Florence was the home of the infamous Medici family, poet Dante Alighieri, philosopher Niccolo Machiavelli, and artists Michelangelo and Da Vinci.

The Florence Airport is in the suburb of Peretola, a small and charming Tuscan-style village.

Things to do

Drop in on David – Michelangelo’s David, that is. You’ll find him at the Accademia Gallery, along with works by other Italian masters like Botticelli and musical instruments from the likes of Stradivari. Fans of art, architecture and all things cultural can visit the Uffizi art gallery and the piazzas and basilicas. Florence Cathedral, also known as ‘Duomo’, is only of Italy’s ‘Big Three’ along with the Leaning Tower and the Colosseum, and it comes with a spectacular dome and a neo-Gothic facade.

Shopping and dining

You’ll find plenty of shopping options in Florence: Go luxury with a walk down Via Roma or Via Tornabuoni, two very elegant fashion-filled streets. Pick up something boutique in Santa Croce, or some antiques or collectibles in Via Maggio. In Florence, you can chow down on fine Tuscan cuisine paired with sumptuous wine, tuck into a t-bone steak, count your lucky Michelin stars or drink a strong Italian coffee outdoors at a cafe with great views of the European architecture.
