I have tried to create a "Grandmas House" environment. Guests are encouraged to utilize everything in the home. The kitchen is well stocked with all the things you will want to prep and serve food. The Jacuzzi is kept at 104 degrees, the front porch is a great place to enjoy a bottle of wine or just enjoy the tranquility and beauty of the California redwoods. The living area is designed to be relaxing and inviting. Sit by the fire and enjoy a relaxing evening activity or one of the many movies available from the home’s library or your favorite streaming provider.
Your typical day begins with the early birdsong that is focused on the home like an amphitheater. Then, use the gourmet kitchen to make breakfast(Barista available across the street). After a relaxing morning, take a 20min trip to the Mendocino coast to enjoy the sights and scenes, or head right into the valley for some of the best pinot and sparkling wines in California(5min from the home). Enjoy side trips to old growth redwoods and swimming holes along the Navarro River.
Stop by the Anderson Valley Brewing Company on Friday for live music and local color in a parklike setting, or the second Sunday of the month for a Grange sponsored long-table family pancake breakfast.
The Anderson Valley and coast also offers some of the best gourmet and creative restaurants in Mendocino County from pizza to foie gras.
Regardless of how long your stay, there will be plenty of activities to come back for.
