Lovely property, and having a nicely maintained outdoor pool is a plus. The breakfast was outstanding, and our room was like the old fashioned 20th century motel rooms. Has microwave, fridge, and porch area to sit outside of room. Other areas to picnic on the grounds as well.

A get away to Taos First time at El pueblo, recommended by a friend. Enjoyed the pool. Breakfast was okay, second morning we walked down to a local breakfast place we like in town. Beds wer comfortable. Window AC was quite loud.

Homemade tamales for breakfast - need I say more?
Having stayed at this hotel many years ago, this stay was comfortable, even though I felt it had not really changed at all. With many of the other motels of the same era in Taos closed, torn down, or remodeled into homogeneous anonymity, it is remarkable that El Pueblo Lodge keeps in character and still seems welcoming.

The only problem we had was the comforters on the beds being too heavy and warm for summertime, but using sheets only were not quite warm enough, other than that, a really great place!

Best place in Taos
El Pueblo Lodge will be at the top of my list for years to come! The room was spacious, with a large bathroom and comfortable beds. The grounds were beautiful and the staff friendly and helpful. And the breakfast that is included far exceeds many restaurants in quality!

I was weary from waking up at 4:30 AM in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Still, I had promised my wife that we would go into the downtown so she could take a picture of the capitol building. I knew it was going to be a long day. Some 7+ hours after finally getting on the road from Cheyenne, we arrived at El Pueblo Lodge in Taos, New Mexico. Cute property with old southwest vibe. Very clean and neat. I was road worn and after having a small hike at unloading the car (room was too far from parking), was hoping the wife and I could unwind in the hot tub. Unfortunately, the Brady Bunch was monopolizing the entire pool area. Having some kind of aquatic olympic version of Nerf Super Bowl. Realizing this was anything but relaxing, we retired to our room. I soon discovered that the bed was the most comfortable of the whole trip so far. Dreamland took me away. This morning we were pleasantly surprised to find the best breakfast of our lives awaiting us in a very warm and inviting alcove of the main building. I'm talking scrambled eggs with all the southwest toppings you can imagine. Tamales, fresh fruit, fresh squeezed orange juice, awesome coffee toast with Nutella spread(whaat?), blueberry muffins, etc.,etc.,etc. Too much good stuff!
