We checked in late in the night and there were sketchy folks smoking weed in front of the entrance. All the hallways smelled like weed. The room was good and staff were good but environment was very sketchy.

The hotel and its rooms are dated and in significant need of renovation. My kids were excited about using the pool, but decided it was too gross and didn't get in :(. Unless you REALLY need to be within walking distance of the shops on the waterfront, I highly recommend staying elsewhere.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were good size. Beds were very comfortable. Room looked cleaned. But it had a musky smell. Only issue was the chair next to the bed was filthy and had heavy stains. The bistro was convenient and they serve Starbucks. 14 min drive to downtown Pittsburgh. Parking was free.
