Customer service was excellent- Everywhere we went, people were so friendly. Shout out to Elena, the bar waitress on the beach, always bringing us fresh drinks and jokes. Animation team-all were very friendly. All of the restaurant staff (too many to mention) are hard workers with a smile. Would have loved if they made fresh smoothies in the morning at the buffet. Glad they had non pork options eg.turkey sausages..(any turkey bacon in the future??) Also disappointed that we had to pay to use the restaurant "Chill out" on the beach. Hopefully in the future, after the upcoming renovations, they will have access to a restaurant on the beach for all without additional cost. Liked that there was a "bus service" around the hotel. Many pools, many chairs. Also really liked having the app and all of its features (daily program, booking a la carte restaurants, map, etc). Wi-Fi access wasn't always smooth sailing, but it was sufficient. The rooms were a bit dated, and upon entering after checking in, we were slightly disgusted to find hair in the jacuzzi tub and spots, making it look like it wasn't cleaned. They also didn't clean out room one of the days even though we put the sign up. But, after one complaint it was cleaned and they checked the following day to make sure it was cleaned to satisfaction- very pleased with the follow up. Overall we had a pleasant, short stay. We are looking forward to coming back in a few months for a wedding event!

We had a wonderful vacation at the Grand Riviera Princess. The rooms were clean and well-maintained, with housekeeping provided every day. There were no hidden fees, and the buffet, drinks, and minibar were all included. Room service was excellent. While the variety of foods at the buffet wasn't perfect, it was still quite acceptable. The activities were enjoyable, and some of them were truly outstanding. However, there are a few areas for improvement. There could have been more beds on the beach, and it was surprising that toothbrushes and toothpaste were not provided in the rooms. Additionally, there is a $30 daily fee to access the kids’ club and teens’ club, which we felt was a bit expensive, especially since there were limited activities available for the teens. Beds on the beach should be more, toothbrush and toothpaste were not provided in rooms and that was surprising. You have to pay 30$ daily to access kids club and teens club which is too expensive and there were limited stuffs at least for teens.

Our stay at the resort was below subpar. We had an incident first night and we reported it to Felipe at the Buffet. I explained how it was a physical interaction and how my girlfriend and I felt unsafe. I have spent a lot of time outside of resorts within Mexico and honestly this was the worst experience I have had. We have already opened a ticket with Expedia due to the lack of follow-up and the feeling of anxiety and safeness on the Resort. Angel who is one of the heads of concierge told us due to the incident and the lack of support from his security team he would get us a free breakfast at the “Chill Out” as well as look into a refund for us- neither happened. We heard nada after the fact. I am not going to complain about the food because as a half Mexican I expected American style food and nothing like the traditional styles of Mexico. I will say that, the buffet is not well secure, nor well protected from harassment. If you are worried about that, I would say regardless if you stay at a resort of off resort this is a possibility. The fact that they start leaf blowing at 7:30am for two of the mornings we stayed here was also quite annoying. There are a lot of reviews about the staff. I had no real problem. (Probably because I speak Spanish and a bit of Mayan). The lack of follow-up to legitimate incidents that Ángel had told us were serious and he would do his best to make it right were neglected. A 3rd party food prep and sanitation company needs to be consulted to overhaul processes and employee behaviors regarding all matters dealing with food. My daughter and I were both stricken with food poisoning and she was hit twice - days apart. Not once did I see any employees disinfect any surfaces the entire 9 days we were on the property. This includes the areas the food was served from to the tables where we consumed the food. I never saw any worker wear gloves when restocking the buffets or working any griddles/grilles. We spoke with other hotel guests and many people were battling food poisoning as well. We have been to Mexico 6 times in the last 18 months and this is the only property we've battled food sanitation issues. The rest of the property and facilities were very nice and the employees were great. I own multiple customer service oriented businesses which is why I didn't give all 1 star ratings because that isn't fair. Please correct the food sanitation issues and we'd be willing to give it another shot.
