It is unfortunate that the beach is filled with rocks, even in the water. You couldn’t enjoy the water, without hurting your feet. The food was not yummy, I would give a 5/10. There’s four buffets and all of them served the same food, no variety. Even the restaurants weren’t good.

The Grand Riviera Princess is an expansive property that offers a lot for travelers seeking a tropical getaway. Despite being nearly fully booked during our stay, the resort never felt overly crowded, which speaks to its thoughtful layout and size. The beach was stunning, with soft, powdery sand that added to the overall relaxation and charm of the experience. However, there were some downsides to our stay. One of the most frustrating aspects was the restaurant reservation system. Guests are required to book in advance for the à la carte restaurants, and availability can be very limited. This became a significant issue for our large group, as we struggled to secure reservations for everyone at the same time on several evenings. It was particularly disappointing when we were told the restaurants were fully booked, yet suddenly there was availability if we purchased a bottle of alcohol. This left a sour taste, as it felt more like an upsell tactic than genuine hospitality. While the resort has much to offer in terms of natural beauty and amenities, the reservation system and these questionable practices left room for improvement. If you’re traveling with a large group, plan ahead and be prepared for some logistical challenges when it comes to dining

The only thing that made this place somewhat enjoyable with the staff. The management in this place are horrific. They do not know how to treat customers properly and they can be very rude and condescending. I was actually accused of being a liar by one of the overnight managers The manager at the chillout lounge whose name is ANHIL was very rude and condescending not only to his staff, but to myself. I quite enjoyed my first day here, but the property seems to have gone downhill drastically since that last visit approximately two years ago. I would not recommend this place to friends or family anymore and I’m not sure how it has a five star rating.

The property was a nice large property. It has several pool areas and a nice beach area. By one of the pools, they served freshly made tacos every day.... I highly recommend getting some, they were delicious! The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. As a VIP, I also had access to VIP-only lounge areas and a concierge, which was a nice perk. This is a very nice place which is large enough that the areas including the buffet were not too crowded. Some of the Cons of the property were: It was supposed to be a non-smoking property, with a couple of designated areas for smokers. Well, there was smoking going on everywhere and the staff did not do anything about it..... it is disgusting when trying to relax by the pool. I also didn't like that there were no open-air restaurants. We usually have had them at all other properties we have stayed at. The food was mediocre at best and usually served cold. Trying to get reservations was sometimes difficult. Their app is terrible, and we had to do things through the website application. Overall, I would say this is a decent resort to stay at. Great grounds and a friendly staff can make up for some of the short comings.

Overall dissatisfied. The wild life was bothersome. Would go through people’s bags and steal food. Staff overall was not that friendly. Food was gross at every buffet and restaurant. We were traveling as a group and you’re not allowed to make reservations for more then two people which was very inconvenient. They made us buy a bottle of wine at one restaurant just to sit together. Room was cleanish on arrival. There was sand on the ground and the bathroom was not super clean. Hallways usually had trash sitting in there. Will not return to this resort.

The dinners were not very good but the buffets were awful. I’m looking forward to eating at the airport. The service was awesome and the staff are very nice. The facility itself is beautiful but you can tell they have not updated the rooms in the past 10-15 years. The pillows and blankets were terrible, kept us up every night trying to get comfortable. I would not recommend this facility for individuals without kids, unless you want every meal, pool size, beach side, moment to be filled with screaming.

The property is a bit older but cared for. A little more maintenance in the rooms would be nice. Staff were exceptional! Pools and beach area are great. Bring water shoes for the beach, the resort part of the beach is rocky getting into the water. Lacked information on areas and activities. If you want pool chair or beach chair get up early and put your towels on them. People save them for the whole day whether they use them or not. It’s not right but if you can’t beat them you have to join them. Some of the restaurants are good and done not so great. But the service was awesome. Book the a la cartes as soon as you arrive. Some we couldn’t get into at all.
