Overall great stay
our stay at Del Mar was great, lots of activities for young and older. Beach was nice except for the seaweed. Food was awesome at the buffet but I felt the Italian and Mexican restaurants were mediocre. Everyone was super friendly and helpful with anything we needed. Our only complaint was the beds were very uncomfortable..too hard. The last 2 nights I slept on the couch

Food is just a disaster in every restaurant we’ve tried in the resort, despite the high price in comparison with other all inclusive resorts around the world. Plus, the majority of them without AC, in Cancun heat it’s unacceptable! Transportation to move between areas is slow. This trip was a complete nightmare, all we can say. Never again.

My stay was lovely the only thing I would complain about is the shuttles need to run a little more frequently. The property is large and walking or waiting in that heat or humidity is almost unbearable. However I would stay again and recommend this resort to family and friends!

Mosquitoes EVERYWHERE and the bug spray provided in the rooms do not work. All 6 people in my party were covered in mosquito bites. Everything is outdoors with no net for mosquitoes, the net has big holes for the birds. Transportation needed to get everywhere and it is super slow...lots of waiting. This ruined out trip. Food tasted old like it was made weeks ago and then reheated before serving you. 4 of 6 people got diarrhea. Alcohol is weak in all drinks, even when asking for a double. No reservations for any of the restaurants for any day of our trip. We decided to wait 1:30 and the steak came cold. If you buy the bottle of wine they try to upsell you for $120, then they are happy to seat you in any restaurant of your choosing.

Amazing resort! My family and I loved it. Skip under the sea restaurant and try the Italian or Greek. Will deff visit again!

The hotel was great. Great for family with kids. The only complaint i have is that the picture are deceiving. The resort is huge but you actually do not get access to the entire only half of it. You don't have access to the 12 restaurant advertise. Only 8. If you want access to the rest of the resort you have to pay for a day pass. One more thing be ready to walk.

This was our 10th time staying at an Iberostar resort and most likely our last. The glamour has worn off. 1/4 of the staff definitely were amazing and the other 3/4 made us feel like we were bothering them. We attempted to make dinner reservations 4 times with the concierge and were told to come back and talk to their partner. We finally just asked the front desk and they helped with one . However if we wanted to sit in a 3 hour timeshare meeting, the concierge could help us. We think this is their main priority now. Our room was dated, no comforter, curtains falling off and the bathroom sink counter literally fell apart. The pool and beach area were not very clean, we saw some trash that wasn’t picked up for days. Very little poolside service and bartenders were under staffed. We love Mexico and will be looking for different resorts!

Property is large and requires alot of walking. Shuttle service is available but inconsistent. Restaurants limited, unable to get reservations for the week. We got sick off the food. It rained alot during our stay. Limited alternative activities communicated. Activity app not kept up to date. Would not stay here again!

Absolutely flooded everywhere. Was dangerous to walk anywhere. I had booked 7 rooms however none were ready at 4:00 pm when check in was supposed to be 3:30 pm. I left my headphones in my room and noticed about a hour after I checked out, I saw that it was at the hotel and I called and they gave me some BS answer of how they don’t see it although I see that it’s still at the resort. The whole building including rooms common areas were leaking from the rain. One of the rooms had 2 inches of water in it and it took forever to get a new room. It took over 6 hours to get multiple beds in some of the rooms although I had requested that when I first booked it. Buffett was terrible. Service outside of the bartenders was terrible. Front desk unorganized took hours to check in.
