Villa Daiquiri, once the “hide-away” residence of the Bacardi family, is now a beautifully renovated Costa Rican vacation compound ready for your visit. With modern amenities and a stunning beachfront location, the villa is perfect for large families, groups, or destination weddings. Villa Daiquiri features a fully equipped kitchen, including a commercial gas oven/range with 2 stoves and flat top grill, a 100lb ice maker and two full size refrigerators. Optional tents and full event amenities to accommodate ceremonies, meetings, or receptions for up to 150 people are available, plus parking for 50+ vehicles located adjacent to the property.

The property is secured by 9ft walls and on site caretaker. The property is with unique features and lush landscaping, including monkey bridges for local howler monkeys who often visit for the large mango and avocado trees. Original details like hand-painted tiles placed around the property and gold-plated fixtures throughout the rooms add to its charm.

Perfect Family Vacation!!
We have 3 adult kids with significant other and we were wanting a house on the beach with bedroom for all the couples and this was the absolute perfect house for that with 4 separate bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms. It was gated with plenty of privacy right on the beach! We were greeted by Manrique who was such a nice and helpful host. Playa Hermosa is my favorite place in Costa Rica as we have stayed a few other places and nothing compares to the quiet tranquil beach. There is a great restaurant next door along with others down the beach. We also hired a private chef one night to make us dinner, which was very good! I would highly recommend this house for a big family and I look forward to staying here again in the future.

Wonderful home for a family reunion
It has been a while since we had our family get together, 6 adults and 3 children (5, 8, and 10). Bret helped us plan everything and was so patient in answering all my questions two months before our trip! Villa Daiquiri is a beautiful place located in an ideal location. Even had iguanas wander around the villa. The beach is right outside the villa and everyone loved the beach and the pool! The sunset view from the second floor is one for the memory book. And there are all kinds of restaurants within walking distance. Our favorite was Casita del Mariscos. Others in our group went to several places close by for coffee and breakfast which were all good! Andrey, who lives in the grounds, was very helpful with getting us what we needed—taxis, restaurant reservations…. Luisa, the housekeeper, cooked us a very delicious traditional Costa Rican breakfast the morning before our flight. Don’t believe the weather forecast. We didn’t even need all the ponchos we brought. Every moment together was beautiful!

5 Family trip to Costa Rica and this place was AWESOME!! Right on the beach and within walking distance to all kinds of bars and restaurants. The kids had a blast on the beach and in the perfect pool on the property. Marique was great and helped us so many times. We also had breakfast made every morning which was so good! The owners and staff are super accommodating. We just had the best time. Also, check out Pescado Loco if you stay here. Amazing food and atmosphere.

Our group of 6 couples stayed here. The house accommodated all of us with plenty of shared space. We loved the location and simplicity of the area. Beach and sunsets were picture perfect. Would definitely recommend.

Fantastic house on the beach
We took 8 adults and 7 children ages 0 to 9 years old. Bret met our daughter at the house when her family arrived and explained about the house and gave her suggestions on what to do in the area. The kids loved the pool, monkeys, iguanas, rabbit and the ocean. The house is right on the beach. Monkeys are in the trees around the house. Kids loved it. The house is great, large rooms large family/dining room for us all to gather together. The beds are very firm as well as the pillows. We had to use pillows from the sofa. Louisa came several days to do cleaning and did excellent work. We do a lot of cooking on our family trips. There were no baking sheets, and limited pots and pans. There were enough to do what we wanted but had to cook some stuff and then reuse the pots to finish the meal. The stove is a commercial stove ant the griddle is great for cooking breakfast etc. We used the outdoor grill a lot Andre and his wife and sons were very helpful and friendly. They are wonderful people. Waves were small but big enough for the kids to do some body and boogie boarding. Snorkeling is mediocre along the rocks on the north or south ends of the beach. There are trumpet fish, manta rays, sting rays, different angel fish, star fish, eels, and sea urchins. Did a boat snorkeling trip with the kids. They had a great time. We also did a fishing trip. Restaurant next door is good. Excellent service. We ordered takeout and they delivered it to us. Very nice.

We had a great stay at Villa Dacquiri. Location is perfect - right on the beach and a lot of restaurants nearby. Close to other activities as well. Bret was very helpful arranging tours for us and we enjoyed all of them. Highly recommend the taco night they prepared at the Villa for us.

The perfect family getaway!
We took 13 family members, ages 1 to 75 and it was a perfect fit for us all! The rooms were spacious and we had enough privacy inside. The setting was steps from the ocean and when we tired of that we played in the large pool. With any communication needs, Brett was responsive immediately and always so friendly. It is the top 10 for us!!

Great stay
We had 4 couples stay here. Great location and best pool . We brought our own floatys. At first we were told no maid and then we said what the reviews read and We did get a maid. It wasn't clear on who was all living on the property. It was Andre and his family's as well as another gentleman that we were not aware of so some missunderstanding took place. But we did get that all cleared up.Great restaurant's in walking distance . And management did respond quickly if you had questions.Over all it was great place to stay. We would go back.

Paradise on the Beach
I would recommend for a large family gathering. Plenty of room, nice furnishings, small cove maybe a mile wide, sandy bottom. I would think a house of this size would have a maid. We had zero maid service. Not a complaint, but be advised. Communication from the host was a bit sketchy. I thought we would be greeted by someone who spoke English to introduce us to the house. We were met be Andre, the grounds keeper. Finally met the manager when he popped in one day. Maria is the way to go for home cooked meals! We hired her for 4 different nights. Every dish was wonderful. Plenty of leftovers for the next day. The restaurant next door is fabulous as is the one 2 doors down from there. All in all, a very nice trip.

Fabulous location
We went the week before Christmas. The house easily accommodates a large group. Plenty of space for everyone. The bedrooms are a large and very nice( The mattresses are very, very firm). The kitchen has all you need to cook and we enjoyed the large dining table so we could have our meals together. The beach is stunning and there are several amazing restaurants close by. There is a high rise hotel right next to the house, that you see and they can see you if you are in the pool. However we had no issues with anyone.( just a note if you have privacy concerns) The hotel next door has a restaurant and had live music a few nights that that we enjoyed. The host was very helpful and arranged a fabulous day trip and well as transfer to and from the airport.

Best trip amazing staff
This trip was more than a year in preparation. Our family dream trip. Peter the owner was so attentive and got us in touch with all the right people for arrival and experiences. So responsive and kind. Arrival was stream line and quick 30 min trip to arrival at the beautiful home. So much space for us all. 7 adults and 4 teens lots of space for all never felt crowded or on top of each other. Pool clean and perfect temp! Beach right out front could hear waves as we slept every night and enjoyed boogie boarding during the day. Amazing sun sent and often had whole beach to ourselves. The morning and morning walks/ runs in beach out of sight. Great restaurants walking distance and really terrific local watering joint across road with some great food and very best mojitos. Great small supermarket walking distance down road and cheap cab ride to larger about 20 min drive everything you would Need and want. The cleaning staff were amazing and barely knew they were there were had an incredible catering by Maria her food was out of this world highly recommend and few times through the stay very reasonable and delicious. Brett the coordinator was absolutely amazing great insight into Costa Rica and local resources and attractions. He really took such great care of little details and ensured our stay was amazing and taken care of start to finish. We will definitely be back soon and recommend this home to any family group looking to enjoy Costa Rica in comfort and authenticity.

Perfect Vacation Setting
As described. Beautiful location, close by restaurants and local bars. It was refreshing that there were absolutely no chain stores or restaurants nearby. Macho, Marie, and Andre were great if any thing occurred which needed attention. Seeing the family of Howler Monkeys was exciting. I highly recommend visiting Playa Coco. Sibu Tours was spectacular. Highly recommended. Roberto’s next door had great food. Thank you for a spectacular week.

Beautiful and Well-Managed Property
We had a relaxing and wonderful stay at Villa Daiquiri. The house is beautiful, and the location is perfect. The house manager Macho helped us arrange local tours, and we took the owners recommendations for fishing and diving, which was fantastic. Diego with Sibu Tours was entertaining and informative, and everyone we interacted with was kind and helpful. The house itself has so much charm, and we enjoyed watching the sunsets from the balcony, playing on the beach which is just steps from the back door, and relaxing at the pool. Maria made us dinner our first night, which was delicious. You cannot go wrong staying at Villa Daiquiri, and we hope we are fortunate enough to visit again.

The home is right on the water. The caretaker lives in a separate on site so it there are any issues, you need only to walk across the yard. The maid, Maria, bought the food for a breakfast and prepared it for us. The only charge was for the groceries. Of course, we left her a nice tip for her work!

Property was perfectly located right on the beach, next door to a small beachfront restaurant and with a large property surrounded by mango trees and with a private pool. We woke up to the family of howler monkeys in the trees, had regular iguana sightings in the yard, and were greeted by the friendly cat on our back patio every morning. The service from the entire team (Macho, Andre, Maria, Maria) was excellent. They were always available and responsive to any request. They picked fresh mangos, set up additional services/activities and were very friendly. Very safe and very good experience all-around!

Our family trip.
We loved the location of the house, right on the beach with restaurants on both sides. Beach was clean as was the area around it. Property manager was great to work with as was the property care taker. Just as a side note: bring your own personal toiletries as they are not included, (shampoo and bar soap). Maria came in daily and tidied up, sweeping floors and taking out trash. We had a great time and would love a return trip.

Flawless Wedding
Cosa Rica is an amazing country, made more amazing by our stay at Villa Daiquiri. We ended up choosing this location as our backyard-wedding-meets-destination-wedding, and it couldn't have been more perfect. Accessing the property is very convenient from Liberia airport. It's less than 30 minutes away. I'd still say renting a car is ideal due to the amount of freedom it provides. We were also able to arrange for transporation for several departing guests through Andres, the groundskeeper. Just another example of how accomodating the experience was. Villa Daiquiri and the grounds surrounding it are gorgeous. Most of the original design is preserved with critical updates providing modern amenities like a fantastic AC system and new appliances. Said design is delightfully retro and provides a nostalgic, soulful quality that many modern properties lack. The kitchen has everything you need and there are plenty of towels, just remember to bring your own toiletries and to put your TP in the trash can (common for Latin America). Even at max capacity there's plenty of space for guests to spread out and do their own thing. The place is huge. For our wedding we wanted a low stress, simple, getaway wedding with a guest count of less than twenty close friends and family. Our expectations couldn't have been met more perfectly since we laid out what we wanted, our budget, and they took care of the rest. They were communicative and responsive the entire time. The owners also operate Coconutz bar (also recommended!) in nearby Coco and clearly have a lot of experience in the food and hospitality industry. The catering was excellent, the flowers and decor were just what we wanted, and the wedding behind the property on the edge of the beach was gorgeously scenic. I can't describe just how easy planning our wedding was with Pete and the crew. It was nice to sit back and simply enjoy our stay without stressing out. Everyone in our group has extensive travel experience, and have seen and done amazing things, so for them to tell us it was the most fun they've had at a wedding meant a lot. Even during the trip we were reminded frequently at how much everyone was enjoying themselves and how much they'll remember staying at Villa Daiquiri. We certainly will. Thank you so much! Pura Vida!

Wished we'd stayed longer
Location, location. We had such an enjoyable stay and only wished it had been longer. No one wanted to leave. Macho and Maria took very good care of us. We played, we relaxed, we ate. You exceeded our expectations. What a wonderful property, just steps away from whatever you could want to do. We loved it!!! Hope to see you again.

AC didn’t work upstairs for the first 4 days.
The AC didn’t work upstairs for the first 4 days. Master shower upstairs has old/bad shower head. Hot water did not work in 2 of the bathroom sinks. The floors are VERY SLICK. multiple falls while there. We loved the location and the amount of room in the house. It was perfect for our family of 14! Ants were a big problem in the kitchen… must be constant since we found ant killer under the sink. Some areas have been updated, several others are straight out of the 70’s.

Perfect week!
To start, we had never been to Costa Rica. I found this property while searching VRBO. It was everything the listing described. There is so much to do in the area. We used Diego with Sibu Tours to transport us and line up our activities. He was wonderful! Local resident, Michel, found us on the beach and lined up a fishing trip, jet skis, and even massages on the balcony of the house. It was heaven. The beach is just behind the house. There is activity, but not too much. There is a fabulous walk up restaurant next door and several others as you walk the beach. All of the food was wonderful and great prices. The teens used the golf cart to hit the local markets and other restaurants. The weather was wonderful. Light showers at times, but wonderful temperatures and low humidity. Our group of 11 fit wonderfully in the well equipped house. The pool is perfect. The A/C worked great. The property is gorgeous. We had a wonderful week and can not wait to go back!
