The house dating back to the 14th century was the home of local winemaker Jean Michelot whose family lived in Pommard since the 1600's.
The house retains many of its ancient features and character including large oak beams, ancient flagstones and an oak staircase to the top floor. Some of the furniture also date back to C17th.
Despite the property retaining its character it has all the amenities that one would expect from a quality rental home.
The ground floor has two entrances (one has no steps into the property). There is a large bedroom on the ground floor which has an ensuite bathroom. The washing machine and dryer are also situated in a cupboard in the bathroom. The beds downstairs can be made either two singles or a king sized double.
Stairs lead to the first floor which is a very big open plan kitchen, dining area and lounge. Kitchen is fully equipped. The TV in the lounge has both french and English channels.
An old oak staircase leads to the top floor bedroom (king sized double) which has a large ensuite bathroom with separate shower.
Leading from the top floor bedroom is access to the roof terrace space where you can comfortably seat 4 people. A parasol is available for those really hot days. You can get a view of the famous Pommard vineyards from the terrace while you enjoy a glass or two of the local wine.
