What started off as a possible decent 2 nights stay ended up as a nightmare. Saturday, super busy long weekend. We had originally booked a room with 2 double beds. On arrival we were advised the room is not available so two separate rooms with queen beds were assigned to us, that was fine. On the second day, after coming back from a long day in Tobermory area, we've found all of our stuff (luggage, clothes etc) from the second room has been "evacuated" and moved to the first room and a cot has been added. So the idea was for 3 of us to sleep on the bed with one person sleeping on the cot (in a room with barely any space for the cot to be added). The front desk person (manager???) in defensive mode blaming the "mistake" on Expedia. The problem was that no one has told us upon arrival that the second room would be available for one night only. If that was the case we would have tried switching the hotel right upon arrival. Thankfully we were able to book a room with two queen beds in another hotel on the opposite side of Port Elgin and obtain one night refund from Expedia (thank you). Moving all of our stuff with 2 small kids at 10 pm went pretty smooth and we happily evacuated the "Super" 8.

The room was clean and nice. However, our room was never cleaned during our stay and when we asked for fresh towels, we were told there was no more and had to wait for them to finish being washed. The continental breakfast was very disappointing and there was very little seating.

The breakfast area did not flow like it was choppy & people running in to each other. Sausage was over done. Not a lot of choices.
