The Point House offers 5 bedrooms+ extra sleeping loft. It has TWO LARGE MASTER SUITES with balconies overlooking the ocean and ensuite bathrooms. Bedroom 3 features a queen size bed, bedroom 4 features a full bed, bedroom 5 has a twin bed. There is a bonus sleeping loft for 2 guests that has 2 twin beds (we do not count this as a bedroom). Bedrooms 3-5 in this wing of the house share a common bathroom. Additionally there is a half bathroom off the kitchen/foyer area. Every bedroom has views of the ocean. The kitchen, dining room, living room and 2 bathrooms also have amazing views of the ocean. The modern artistic kitchen features the finest of bamboo cabinets, gorgeous granite and top grade stainless steel appliances. The large dining table was carved by a local artist from native mahogany and tamarind wood and seats up to 10 people. The large granite bar adjacent seats an additional 4 guests. If you have a party, we also can arrange for an additional table to be set up by our caretaker. The 82 inch theatre style smart television is a plus for movie night.
THE PRIVATE SWIMMING POOL: The 55 foot oceanside swimming pool (largest on the island) is simply amazing. A large tanning shelf and pool side patio are certain to be enjoyed by your group. This pool Is large enough for laps.
The Point House also features high speed Starlink Internet for streaming and zoom.
The large deck off of the front of this house juts out over the ocean for views of tropical fish, rays and sea turtles. When you are sitting on the far side of the deck, it feels as if you are on your own private cruise ship. This house offers all the comforts and amenities of home including WiFi and laundry room.
THE LOCATION: Private setting on beautiful reef protected Cutlass bay , a snorkeling and fishing paradise. The walk down the curved lane to the ocean access/swimming/snorkeling is just a 2 min stroll. The beautiful beach is directly on the property and just another 2-3 minute walk.

The Point House is conveniently located 20 miles from the New Bight, Cat Island airport.
FROM NASSAU: Western Air Bahamas regularly flies almost daily around 1:00pm between Nassau and Cat Island, check their website for exact dates and times. We recommend arriving Nassau approximately 2 hours before your flight departs for Cat Island.
FROM FORT LAUDERDALE: Maker's Air flies from Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport directly into Cat Island and offers multiple flights throughout the week. Please check their site for days and times.
PRIVATE CHARTERS FROM NASSAU: Bam Air offers private charters between Nassau and Cat island and schedules the flights at your convenience. For more information, please contact us.
Upon your arrival on Cat Island, our caretaker will greet you and assist you in getting to the house.
RESTAURANTS: There are numerous restaurants in the area. One is within walking distance and there are several other restaurants within 5-20 minutes drive that feature a variety of Bahamian cuisine and fresh seafood, traditional American style food is also available on the menus.
If you don’t feel like going out, a chef will deliver to your oceanfront vacation rental or will prepare meals at your house . You can also order a meal to be ready upon your arrival so that you can sit back and have a cocktail and enjoy the view after a day of traveling.
The Point House is 1 mile from a small grocery store that has all of the necessities. The main grocery store is located a 20 minute drive from the house. Upon your arrival our caretaker will stop here for you to pick up supplies if you request.
Cat Island has the most varied topography of all the Bahamian islands . Cliffs and caves , endless gorgeous beaches are breathtaking. Your group will want to visit Mt. Alvernia and hike to the top to see the amazing views on all side of the island. At the summit of Mt. Alvernia (the highest point in all the Bahamas) is a landmark known as “The Hermitage”. A visit to the ruins of this unique monastery makes for a fascinating half day excursion. Our caretaker will assist you in setting up tours of the island and ventures to explore the various beautiful white sand beaches on Cat Island. Upon your return from these excursions, have lunch or dinner at The Blue Bird restaurant or Sweet Tambrin or the infamous Pink Chicken Bar all of which feature delicious Bahamian cuisine. Among other highlights are the fascinating “blue holes” and small shops where palm thatch bags, hats etc are made by the older Bahamian women.
