Kernilla House offers a convenient location close to a corner store and to all Port Lincoln festivals and attractions.
QUALITY FEATURES, MINIMALISTIC STYLE AND RELAXING ATMOSPHERE
Kernilla House is a quality duck pond stone home, located walking distance to the waters edge. Offering immaculate presentation, style and character, you will enjoy feature including polished floorboards, ornate ceilings, floor to ceiling windows to the back garden, with quality furniture, bedding and modern, easy to operate appliances. The property has recently been renovated to a high standard. The home offers sea views from the front undercover veranda and also from the rear entertainment area's.
1 BEDROOM - 2 Guests - 1 Queen Bed
The home has one bedroom, the master bedroom features a comfortable Queen Bed with quality linen, a variety of pillows and European Pillows. Convenient clothes storage in the floor to ceiling wardrobe providing ample space to hang clothes and for storage. Bedside tables feature individual lights for late night reading. A tub chair, ottoman and coffee table are provided for your comfort.
The shower room and toilet is located close by.
All beds are made up with quality linen ready for your stay.
Extra blankets are provided, along with electric heating and ceiling fan in the bedroom.
LIVING SPACES
Air conditioning. The large television in the lounge is great for movie nights and a DVD player is provided. Enjoy the comfy large modular lounge suite that sits 5 with ease. For further relaxing atmosphere enjoy the slow combustion fire on a cold winters night. Wood is provided during winter. There are interesting good quality jigsaws and board games to keep family and friends entertained.
2 TOILETS - 1 SHOWER - 1 VANITY
The main bathroom has a shower, vanity and toilet. A hair dryer is available for guest use. There is a second toilet located in the modern laundry.
KITCHEN - DINING
The kitchen is well equipped with a Miele dishwasher, an electric oven and cook-top, a full size LG refrigerator with ice tray, microwave, toaster, kettle, and a Bodum for coffee making. Rain water is plumbed into the house. The kitchen provides utensils, crockery, serving platters and practical cooking equipment.
There is an island bench with two stools for casual food preparation, and also a dining table with bench seats that seats 5 to 6 guests.
STUDY NOOK
Work from Kernilla if required. Fast high speed internet is free. There is a modern light filled study nook with a window off from the kitchen/dining room, offering desk space, power and a comfortable chair. Perfect for teenagers retreat for gaming, writing or to check in with business.
SUNROOM
The spacious sun room is a architectural highlight with floor to ceiling windows and cool stone tiled floor with a beautiful outlook to the back garden, stone feature wall and native eucalyptus trees. Access to the laundry is through here. Relax on the daybed and enjoy a good book or a holiday magazine. Bring your own or select one for the Kernilla House bookshelf collection.
THE LAUNDRY ROOM
The laundry enables you to deal with all your washing needs with quick convenience. It features a front loading washing machine, a modern tumble dryer with a wrinkle free cycle, laundry sink and ironing facilities. There is a second toilet located in the laundry. If you wish to air dry clothes, take advantage of the outside clothes line. A laundromat is located at the Double Cornerstore deli and takeaway.
OUTDOOR ENTERTAINING AREAS
Access to the outdoor upper deck is via a set of stone stairs featured in the photos. Walk through the beautiful native garden to the deck and enjoy the sea views, shade in summer, and bring a throw rug to watch the twinkling lights at night in winter. The deck provides the perfect retreat to enjoy your favourite beverage while watching the fishing fleet head out to sea or catch a glimpse of the pleasure boats on Boston Bay.

Kernilla House at Normandy Place is ideal for a short getaway or a long term holiday because of its' brilliant location. Pleasant walking distance to the main street Tasman Terrace, local parks and the foreshore getting around is easy. The Double Corner store is located just 400m from Kernilla House where you can get a large range of takeaway food and groceries.
DINING OUT
You can walk to many award winning dining options, Sarin's Bar and Resturant, The Pier Hotel, The Rouge and Rascal Cafe, Del Giorno's Cafe Resturant, or take a taxi or a 5 minute drive to Peter Teakle Winery for a memorable fine dining experience. Wendy's, Subway and KFC are also close by, as are Lincoln Cellars and local bottle shops. Other dining options include the Grand Tasman Hotel, and for a visit to the Marina to check out the largest fishing fleet in South Australia, head for a short drive to the Marina Hotel and watch the boats. You can purchase locally caught fresh seafood (prawns, Oysters, Southern Rock Lobster) to enjoy at Kernilla House, or order fish and chips in store to dine in or take away at The Fresh Fish Place on Proper Bay Road.

The Port Lincoln Leisure has a swimming pool, spa, sauna and fitness classes. Go to the Port Lincoln Visitor's Centre to find out about the National Parks, surf beaches and walking trails. Coffin Bay and Tumby Bay are stunning seaside towns under an hour drive away. The Nautilus Theatre and Youthoria Cinema offer great entertainment options, or book a tourist adventure from the exciting options available. If you are looking for adventure Port Lincoln offers the increasingly popular Shark Cage Diving, Swim with the Tuna, and Swim with the Sea lions.You can fish from the Town Jetty, off the beach or book a fishing charter. Walk the Parnkalla trail for spectacular views of Eyre Peninsula coast. The Port Lincoln School of Yoga welcomes visitors, and the timetable can be found on Facebook.
