We’ve always loved the history and grandeur of this hotel and it was awesome to finally have a chance to stay here! Our room was exactly what we hoped for: huge comfy bed, spacious and all the amenities. My stay at the Fort Gary Hotel was at the end of a long journey. When I arrived I was greeted by a welcoming staff. The lobby was stunning as to the time era the original must have been in its day. When I arrived at my room ,once again I was astonished. What a perfect end to a long journey. Nice friendly staff , beautiful surroundings, and all the comforts of home. Hands down one of my most enjoyable dyays

Fabulous authentic building, good location, excellent for the Forks! Staff pleasant, rooms comfortable, although thin walls, could hear quite alot going on in rooms next door. Luckily no noise at night so great sleep. Didn't eat in, had 2 drinks (very expensive)

My room upon arrival had strange knocking sounds and an eerie cold. I told the front desk who was coincidentally receiving the same complaint from another room. They quickly and with seriousness explained the hotel was haunted, the ghost was not dangerous, and my room was switched. No problem with my next room. What an experience. My only complaint was the mattress was lumpy. Otherwise a grand old and interesting hotel. Great restaurant. Top quality service all around.

Old building with old rooms. Overpriced restaurant for service. Poor casual service in checkin, and very poor restaurant service during my stay. Stand for ten minutes waiting for someone to have time to even take you to a table. Room was near elevator, all night long listening to air sounds from the elevator when it moves. Would not stay here again, historic hotel did not justify poor service and poor room quality. TenSpa on tenth floor is the only thing noteworthy here compared to other hotels I've stayed at. For breakfast, go to local restaurants within one block for half the price but equal or better quality food.

I’ve been staying at the Fort Garry for 30 years, since I was a child. It is showing its age, but that’s not my problem. It’s the awful service from the front desk. There was a loud party next to my room. It was a birthday party and it was LOUD. I let it slide because it was as 6 pm when it started, but I eventually reached my breaking point at 11:30 pm. I had to get a good night sleep as we were driving 6 hours back home. My wife calls the front desk and all they offered was ear plugs. The next morning when we checked out, they didn’t bother asking how our stay was. They asked the two couples ahead of us, but not us. This kind of service is disappointing. I want to come back to the Fort Garry, but it feels like our business is not wanted.
