I like this kind of hotel. This hotel was almost perfect. Cool and hip. My issue with it was little things. The nightstand, there was white stuff on the side, and when I went to plug in my phone- there was something sticky on the nightstand. Soooooo gross. The microwave wasn’t working. I put a cup of noodles in the microwave and it wouldn’t start. That’s rad. The other part- I could hear when my neighbors did anything. It legitimately freaked me out. I heard them moving the blinds up and down as though I were doing it. I heard their dog bark, which was okay but frustrating. I felt like there wasn’t much privacy because if I could hear them- they could hear me. But like the sticky white stuff on the nightstand-ewwwwww

Wonderful hotel chain. Smaller rooms but well played out. Lots of usb ports, comfy bed, great tv. I’m one of those people that never unpack into the dresser. They don’t have one in the room, just a bench with storage under. Brilliant

BIG elevator problem
My daughter arrived from the airport after midnight. I was waiting in our room. She had never been to the TRU hotel. She got on the elevator with another lady and her husband. This lady kept tapping her phone on the elevator's scanner impatiently. Evidently, she didn't hold it still. The elevator made a very, loud bang which I heard even on the fourth floor, The elevator floor dropped. NOT GOOD!! The receptionist was in the laundry room and able to open the door from the back side of the elevator. She turned off the help button and canceled the fire call. The floor reset and all three terrified folks jumped off and walked four flights up to their fourth-floor room. The receptionist was very kind and helpful after such an ordeal.

We chose this hotel as they advertised extended parking for a fee in addition to their airport shuttle. We even called ahead of time to confirm and were told we could purchase a 7-day parking reservation. However, once we arrived at the hotel, the front desk informed us that extended parking is only available if you book it concurrently with your reservation. There is NO way to purchase it after the fact, and this is not disclosed when you’re booking. In addition, walls are thin and you hear all footsteps/noise of your neighbors. A stressful and disappointing stay.

So disappointed
I chose this hotel because of the great location and parking. I called at 300 pm before I made my reservation to confirm parking was available and the rate per night. I checked in at 600 pm and was told I could not park my vehicle because I had made my reservation through a 3rd party app. They changed their parking policy mid 2023 and there was nothing they could do even though I was told 3 hours earlier I could park my vehicle at the hotel. I was told to find another place to park my car and was given 2 bottles of water and a bag of sun chips for my inconvenience. Maybe they should do a better job of training the ENTIRE staff, including those that answer the phone, about the parking policy.

Pleasantly surprised!
This hotel is newer and clean. It was quieter than I expected and the bed was comfortable. The parking area was secure and great shuttle service to the airport. Breakfast was typical selections. Work out room has 2 new treadmills, 2 elliptical machines, dumbbells and one all in one cable machine as well as a stretching area. I will definitely stay here again.

Since this is a new concept hotel I feel I should let others know what I experienced. The hotel is in great shape. The room was clean and decorated nicely. Unfortunately, the walls are thin. I heard lots of noise from the hall, the room next door, the room above and the planes taking off. I also stayed at another hotel nearby and did not have these same noise issues.

Hidden fee: strike hotel from future usage
The hotel was convenient for our air travel. The one major problem was parking for our automobile. The hotel is behind a gated parking area. No clearly visible sign explains the parking policy or if the area you are pulling into is the entrance for the hotel. Note: many guess we’re turning around and leaving due to the confusion. The in and out procedure is cumbersome to the point of being irritating. The ten dollars a night, overnight parking fee is unacceptable, this is a hidden fee that is unknown until you get to the hotel. Will not use this hotel again because of this fee.
