This is a cozy apartment in Miramar, Vila Nova de Gaia, close to the beach (50 meters), for a pleasant summer or winter vacation or a 3 day stay. The apartment is set in a building with a surrounding green area that features a swimming pool. The apartment receives sunlight all day long.

A well equipped, modern apartment within 5 minutes walk of the beach. The apartment itself is to a high standard, the kitchen even has toaster, kettle, coffee maker, dishwasher, microwave etc. Underground car park with access to bicycles. It was clean and well cared for. Small minimarket within a couple of minutes walk. Larger supermarkets including Lidl within 10 minutes drive. Upmarket restaurant close by, but we really liked the S Martino Italian 5 minutes walk north. The beach was not that busy at this time of year (Sept), tidal with some undercurrents - lifeguards at certain times - so perhaps better to swim in the pool. Large dedicated cycle paths up and down the coast, fairly easy to cycle into Porto which we did one day. Beware that the location on HomeAway map is about 1 mile north of actual location. It's actually opposite Padaria Armeno, a cafe/bakery, in a block with shops on the ground floor. There was no information guide book which you usually find with rented apartments - facilities nearby, numbers to call, tips for equipment use etc. The owners did mention a few sights to see and local amenities when we arrived. Pool is fairly basic with no shade, sunbeds The most difficult aspect was the lack of soundproofing on the apartment block - noise from neighbours is difficult to block out and went on into the evening. This was much worse during our stay because the apartment directly above was being renovated, with workers drilling and scraping during daytime.

Four of us had a weeks stay. We were picked up and taken back to the airport. Eunice took us to the supermarket for provisions. The apartment was wonderful. Very large spotless rooms. It had tool and appliance you could possibly want. Lovely swimming pool in the gardens. The beach was a few minute walk from the apartment. The walkways along the dunes are lovely for a nice long walk. If you want a relaxed holiday, this is the place to go. Nothing was too much trouble for the hosts. Would recommend this apartment.

We had a great stay at the apartment, with the transfer we were met at the airport by the friendly and helpful owner and cake and port on arrival at the apartment. Good family size apartment and bikes available to use in the garage. Very close for the beach and a short train ride into Porto.

A great base to visit Porto
A fantastic 7 night stay in Mirimar. We got a great welcome at the airport, and transfer to the apartment. The accommodation had everything we needed and more. The location is perfect, just 2 minutes from the beautiful beach with plenty of cafes and bars in the neighbourhood. I would highly recommend to anyone wanting a delightful base from which to visit Porto and the surrounding area. Thanks you.

Great apartment close to the beach with very welcoming owners.
We had a lovely stay in the apartment at Miramar. We were made very welcome and a homemade cake and port made it especially nice. The apartment is in a great location, close to the beach and a 10 minute walk to the train station. We used the train quite a lot during our visit to get into Porto. There is a great bakers opposite the apartment which is well worth a visit. Communication was brilliant; there was always a quick response from the owners before and during our stay. I would very much recommend the apartment.

A lovely flat, close to the beach and not too far from the Porto public transport. Absolutely well arranged, comfortable and spacious.Very hospitable hosts, waited for our late arrival with a treat! Das Appartment ist sehr schön, der Empfang war herzlich mit selbstgebackenen Kuchen und einer leckeren Flasche Portwein. Zur Wohnung gehörte auch eine Tiefgarage-sehr praktisch. Nur die angekündigten Rä#der waren für unsere Größe zu klein und ließen sich auch niocht ausreichend verstellen.

Volledig ingericht ruim appartement bij het strand, omgeving Porto
Wij hebben hier 10 fijne dagen gehad! Prima appartement voor een combinatie van strandvakantie en bezoekjes aan de mooie stad Porto (kan met trein, wij parkeerden de auto in Vila Nova de Gaia en namen 2 haltes metro naar Sao Bente station downtown Porto. Verder zijn uitstapjes naar Aveiro, Braga, Guimaraes, Coimbra en de prachtige Dourovallei van hieruit prima met de auto te doen. De auto konden we parkeren in de garage onder het appartement. Het appartement ligt in een prettig complex, op een steenworp afstand van het strand, zeer compleet en goed verzorgd, compleet met schoonmaakartikelen, badkamer benodigdheden etc. Alleen de oven was helaas defect, dat was het enige kleine minpuntje. De eigenaar is bijzonder vriendelijk en attent. Wij raden dit appartement zeker aan als je in deze omgeving op vakantie wilt!

Todo perfecto.
Pasamos 8 días geniales en el piso de Antonio. El piso es completisimo, con todo lo necesario, incluso detalles de bienvenida por parte del propietario. Todas las estancias son muy amplias, mejor de lo que parecen en las fotos. La piscina también muy buena. El garaje es cerrado (no como en la foto) y esto lo hace mucho mejor todavía, porque pudimos dejar las bicis que llevábamos sin miedo. Antonio es super amable, y acabamos encantados con el trato. La ubicación del piso también es muy buena, no solo tiene una playa a 50 metros, además tiene a 5 minutos o senhor da pedra que es preciosa, y un paseo con carril de bici. En definitiva, estuvimos encantados con todos los detalles, no podríamos pedir nada más a nuestra estancia.
