The hotel needs to get some sav blanc wine as my wife could not get a drink not good for a hotel. Plus restaurant menu is not worth the price they ask. Staff very friendly and helpful also need towel rails for drying your towels after shower if they want you to look after the environment for housekeeping

COLD FOOD, CHARGING FOR PARKING
The food was cold, the hot plates had not been turned on at 08:15, another guest showed me this and the next minute a member of staff like grease lightning ran over to the hot plates switched them all on then ran off again. I would say they had not been switched on at all that morning and the food was left to go cold once put into the "hot plates" Charging for parking is not acceptable £10 per night is ridiculous £5 discount for hotel guests is still not acceptable will use other hotels that don't charge for parking in future

Clean, comfortable and easy access to Portsmouth.
Check in was without issue, the lady at reception was very polite. Room was comfortable and clean. There was however a fire alarm activated at around 11pm, which did not cancel for sometime which caused several of us to start to evacuate. No staff were visible and had to contact reception to find out whether we still had to leave the building.

Fabulously sized double room - with good facilities in the room, overlooking the car park at the side. Parking was pretty expensive though - £30 for 2 nights, which was halved because of a special offer. Breakfast was good, plenty on offer. One coffee machine working though, so there was often a queue.

Breakfast was terrible - ran out of forks, cups, plates. One coffee machine so long queue. The “wait to be seated” sign not used so might as well remove it. Staff looked demoralised in the dining area. Air con in room was either very cold or very hot. We could not control the aircon ourselves as we were put in a disabled room! Overal not worth the money. Part refund please!!!

Lovely huge room, staff were friendly, nice big shower and everything very clean. Negatives are a bit of traffic noise as you’re on the side of a busy road (to be expected) and beds ok but not that comfortable.

I booked this hotel in Portsmouth for 2 nights with my family and first.We arrived at reception with the smell of urine with lots of dogs running open and down we did manage to get our room which Not clean and had dog hair stuck to the carpet with towels that looked like they D never been washed, but we managed to stay that 1 night to wake up with the bedroom flooded due to the air conditioning dripping all night had a terrible sleep. They did change our room to a room upstairs. Watch I was up all night itching. I have been bitten up-and-down my legs. I have emailed the Holiday Inn and sent fortress. This hotel is terrible and needs a deep clean. I would not recommend it. And I will not be staying again..

Hotel staff on reception and bar were awful. Slow and clearly did not want to be there. Poor food options in the evening unless you want pizza and fish and chips. Hotel needs a lock of paint and another hotel that makes a crazy amount of money from the car park. Just put the cost of the car park in the room hire so we know what the total stay costs.
