Private waterfront cottage on Malaspina Strait

2 bedroom, 1 1/2 bathroom (shower only) fully furnished cottage on private 2 acre property 1 km south of city limits and 4 km to city center. Complete with bedding, towels, full kitchen accessories, TV, internet, WIFI, BBQ, and balcony. Hiking, biking, ATV trails within walking distance. Golf course approx 3 km away. Beach access for kayaks, canoes and swimming.
Suitable for small children. We are pet friendly on request.
Cottage is not wheelchair accessible.
This reservation has a Super Flexible cancellation policy - refunds will be issued up to 14 day prior to the check in date.
A 100% refund is provided for travellers cancelling at least 14 days before check-in. A 50% refund is provided for travellers cancelling from 7 to 13 days before check-in. Felt like home
What a wonderful place to stay. It was clean and had everything you needed to have a comfortable time. Sat at the table, looking out over the water, watching the dolphins and walked down to the beach with Eagles soaring over our heads. You couldnā€™t ask for a more beautiful spot. The cottage was so well stocked and so well cared for. Our family really enjoyed our time. Highly recommended

Sunshine coast getaway!
From arrival to departure our stay at this beautiful ocean view cottage was top shelf! All the little extras including coffee bar, plush towels and comfy beds made our stay in Powell River even that much more enjoyable. Thank you Sylvia & Don Hope to be back. Go Kings!

Cozy cottage for our short stsy
This is a lovely cottage with lots of amenities including very convenient laundry facilities. It was too cold, rainy and windy to really enjoy the waterfront location but would like to return in nicer weather. Our only problem was getting the TV to work properly but Sylvia tried her best to help with that.

I have found my happy place
Our hosts, Don and Sylvia were so gracious and down to earth we felt we knew them for a very long time , not just 5 days. The cottage was charming, homey and had everything one could possibly ask for. The beach front location awesome. We felt as one with nature high in the tree tops with eagles and other birds. Can't say enough good things about our wonderful getaway. Have already made arrangements to come back in the fall.

We stay one week at Sylvias Cottage. We have a relaxed time. Eveything was as described and shown on the photos. Our expectation was satisfied. We enjoy the deck and the opportunity to go down to the beach. Sylvia was available if required. We would like to come back.

Beautiful spot!
We really enjoyed walking down to the beach and finding clams, oysters, and little crabs. The house close to the city of Powell river and we enjoyed many beautiful hikes in the area. The property was quiet and the house had everything we needed inside. We loved the area and canā€™t wait to come back!

Lovely piece of Powell River paradise!
We stayed at Don and Sylvia's place in mid-July - it was wonderful! A true escape from our busy lives, we're finally coming back from a vacation feeling relaxed. We had a wonderful time exploring the many lakes, the great food and mountain biking trails - and - just chilling on the lovely deck overlooking the ocean. We are looking forward to visiting again in future!

A quiet and lovely getaway
We stayed at this cottage for three nights, a small anniversary getaway. It was perfect! So nice to be able to look out the front windows onto the ocean. So nice to have that sense of solitude and deep quiet, yet 10 minutes from Powell River shopping. We enjoy cooking, and found the kitchen was very well equipped for our cooking style, with good quality pots and pans, sharp knives, a gas stove, and a variety of coffee-making appliances! Sylvia and Don live nearby and were always attentive, responding quickly to any requests we made (and there were a few!) yet otherwise leaving us to enjoy the privacy of the cottage and waterfront. We definitely intend to stay here again in future, when heading to the Sunshine Coast.

Relaxing getaway
Sylvia and Don were amazing hosts! My husband and I stayed with our 19 year old and our large dog. We all felt welcomed and were incredibly comfortable in Sylviaā€™s cozy cabin. It was perfect for relaxing and exploring beautiful Powell River. The view and beach access were amazing, even in December. We will definitely return!

Terrific Getaway!
This Cabin in the woods is the perfect spot to come and unwind. More like a house, it was easily large enough for our family of 4 plus dog and very nicely reno'ed. The huge deck out front overlooking the salish sea is amazing, and being surrounded by evergreens gives a truly woodsy feel. Will be booking again for another trip to PR. Highly recommend!

Sylvia provided everything I could need for my 9 month old, which allowed alot more space in the car. We loved the ocean view for our meals. 2 styles of bed mattress, 1 soft 1 a little harder. Great balance.
