The area has an abundance of footpaths and cycle routes, making this the perfect base for those who love the great outdoors. Other places worth a visit and within easy reach include the Forest of Bowland, 15 miles and designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Samlesbury Hall, 10 miles, and Lancaster, 21 miles.
