It is in a lovely area and the staff are great. Breakfast was very good: a larger dining group meal one evening not so much. Our room and it’s facilities were really good, somewhat let down by very tired furniture, poor finishing (eg round the bath) and silly little things like no soap dish or anywhere else suitable to rest wet soap round the (impractical designer) sink in the en suite. Lack of properly hot water when we wanted a bath was a disappointment.

Very uncomfortable mattress. On complaint immediately moved to an upgraded room. Receptionist was lovely and very efficient. Had a seafood linguini in restaurant which was very bland. Breakfast was good.

Nice venue, could do with a clean.
Nice hotel and location rich with history. Hotel room and place in general could have done with a better clean, room Skylights were black and covered in crap and it ruined the aesthetics. I would stay again as the breakfast was good and the price was fair.

Lovely hotel in fantastic location
Lovely location, comfortable, clean, lovely staff, drinks at bar not overly expensive- we would stay again, we were just a little disappointed with the cooked breakfast but nothing to complain about.
