Lattice House is the ultimate tropical villa. Set in a 60 acre private reserve, 3 minutes above beautiful Playa Hermosa, surrounded by jungle, you will enjoy spectacular ocean views from every room, the decks, and the infinity pool.

Enjoy its unique Bali modern architecture, and custom-designed finishes and furnishings, all imported from Bali. Lattice House was built and has been lovingly maintained as my home, and you will feel as though it is your own private paradise for your stay.

You will have an onsite manager/concierge and an onsite chef to take care of your ground transportation, activities, catered meals, and restaurant reservations, so that you can spend all your time just relaxing and enjoying your stay.

Lattice House is conveniently located half-way between Dominical and Uvita, right off the coast highway. You won’t have to spend your valuable vacation time driving up and down mountain roads to enjoy incredible views and privacy. The reserve encompasses large park-like spaces, orchards, and jungle, with trails leading to numerous streams and waterfalls. In any direction, you see only white water coastline, mountains, or rain forest. On any given day, you may see and hear howler and white-face monkeys, coaties, tayras, agouties, sloths, toucans, aracaries, hummingbirds, parrots, and dozens of other bird species, all from the house decks.
Lattice House is a spectacular place, and I am happy to share it with our guests.

The master king bedroom, one queen bedroom and two full baths are on the main level; two bedrooms (one queen, two twins or one king) and a full bath are on the lower level. There are two sofas in the living room that can be used as additional beds.

Lattice House has all the amenities you expect in a luxury home and much more: partially covered total infinity pool with heated jacuzzi; four covered patios and decks; air conditioning in all the bedrooms; slate and marble floors and bathrooms; lattice work and hardwoods from Bali; outdoor master bath with copper soaking tub; lower floor walk-in outdoor shower; copper and stone sinks; fully equipped, stainless steel kitchen; beautiful furnishings, artwork and accessories.

Fantastic Property
Located near many great restaurants and a short drive to a nice beach. Wildlife around the house including onsite hiking trails. Air conditioning in the bedrooms. Availability for onsite private Chef and an extremely helpful concierge. Perfect and highly recommend.

Heaven on earth
We stayed for 5 nights with three couples aged 33 to 79. The understated elegance and way of bringing outdoors indoors was truly breathtaking. The ease of getting to either Dominical or Uvita was so easy, the hard part was deciding where to enjoy a meal out with so many choices. We did utilize the private chef on our first night and would highly recommend. So nice to arrive and not have to figure out where to grab dinner or have to get groceries and cook. We had a rental car delivered, thanks to Ana, and the process was seamless. While we were there we participated in a mangrove boat tour, the atv tour, and zip lining. All were amazing and everyone throughly enjoyed. When we weren't out exploring we enjoyed just sitting by the pool and taking in the scenery. The bird watching from the master bedroom deck was superb! Would 100% stay again. Thanks for an amazing family vacation.

Peaceful, multi-generational stay
Our group of grandparents, siblings, spouses and kids had a wonderful time at Lattice House. It had the perfect multi-generational space to have alone time and together time. The master bedroom was like a treehouse, it felt right in nature. It was perfect for one of the members of the family, who is low vision, to enjoy being in nature and hearing animals from the safety of the house, without worry of tripping on a trail. We did so many activities and Ana helped every step of the way. We would highly recommend the horseback ride to the waterfall--unique and beautiful! The boat ride was also a fun adventure! Anytime we had a question or concern, Ana responded quickly. We enjoyed adding on the private chef services for two nights and it was so worth the money. Next time we would have the chef come a couple of times spread out over the trip so we could enjoy the leftovers throughout the week--Delicious! We are already dreaming of returning to this special place on earth. When you feel like dragging yourself out of beautiful Lattice House, we recommend Dominical for a cool town vibe and kind folks. We hope to return soon--Pura Vida!

Beautiful scenery and sounds of nature
The owner, Patirica was wonderful, she answered all our questions before and after booking. We had to make a change and she made it easy. Thank you, Pat! Ana became our go-to person and she was fabulous! She arranged our ground transportation from/to San Jose airport. One person was delayed and Ana was quick to make arrangements for them. They were scared riding alone, but Ana assured them they were in safe hands. She arranged for Alexandra’s crew to prepare our first meal, it was exactly what we needed. Ana arranged for our car rental, massages, tour activities, wrote up an itinerary and messaged us before each activity. Anything we needed Ana was just a message away! Thank you, Ana! The House is spectacular with plenty of space to yourself or to come together. The view was beautiful, whether relaxing in the pool or hot tub or on the deck, taking in the scenery and sounds of nature. Bring good binoculars and be prepared to share with animals and insects. Recommend ziplock bags for food. The outdoor showers were a favorite! The hike to the Waterfall is strenuous, walking sticks and good hiking shoes recommended. Use insect repellent (especially on the tours)! *READ THE HOUSE BOOK! Highly recommend the Jungle ATV Tour, Guillermo and Alejando were our tour guides, and they were great! And the Chocolate Tour with Ronald. His wife makes the absolute best smoothies! I had to write a shorter version of everything but we HIGHLY RECOMMEND staying at the Lattice House!

Nothing short of amazing
Lattice House provided the trip of a lifetime. It was an incredible house. The property was meticulously maintained, beautiful yard and pool and the view was out of this world. It was 2 minutes to Playa Hermosa and is by far the best beach. You can rent an umbrella and loungers at the beach and the kids took surf lessons or you can rent a board. Ana helped plan surf lessons, horseback riding on the beach, ATV tours and the private chef. The private chef was great. The meals were delicious and she left the leftovers in the fridge. Everything was seamless and Ana was prompt in any responses - she even scheduled a rental car to be dropped off at the property and booked us a car to and from the airport. She was fantastic. A true vacation of a lifetime. There is not one negative thing I could say about this stay. It is a must for a true stay in tropical paradise.

Trip of a lifetime!
Six family members stayed at this AMAZING house for 11 nights. The views take your breath away. What we enjoyed the most was having some drinks in the infinity pool while watching Toucans, monkeys and other wildlife roam about the property. There was plenty of room. In fact we didn't even use one of the bedrooms. We had Alexandra cook 5 dinners and 3 breakfasts for us. That might be my biggest recommendation. We found the prices of going out to dinner to be the same as in the U.S. However we received a better value (and food) from Alexandra. We ate out on the deck most nights. There is always a little stress we feel when vacationing outside our country but Ana and Angie completely removed any and all stress! They had the rental car delivered to the house, they made dinner reservations, help design excursions and then sent reminders of what the days activity was with directions. They also scheduled two massages for the women who said they were terrific. We went on the ATV jungle tour, Osa canopy tour and went to the Manuel Antonio National Park. All HIGHLY recommended! I was nervous at first driving in a different country but found it extremely easy. We split time between Uvita and downtown Dominical which are right on the main road. 4x4 is an absolute must if your dinner reservations lead you to Bar Jolly Roger or Gusto and Scala. Thank you so much for sharing your amazing house with us! You helped create memories my family will never forget!

Paradise in Costa Rica!
We had such an amazing time at Lattice House. It really is a special place. I honestly cannot think of anything that could have improved our stay. We were so enthralled by the amount of wildlife on the property, the incredible landscaping and views. The outdoor showers were such a cool experience and its hard to be home and enclosed! Ana has got to be one of the most welcoming humans I have ever met. She was so incredibly nice and added so much to our stay by showing us the house, giving us such valuable information, and always being available for questions and help with anything that comes up. We also very much appreciated the security on the property and staff living on site. I know of several people who had their rentals broken into in this area so it gave us peace of mind to have excellent security in place. The cooking staff was also top notch and we enjoyed the food SO much. They were so kind and everything was perfect. We also very much appreciated the laundry room with so many extra towels and robes as it would take days for things to dry. We kept talking about how the pool was the nicest we have ever swam in. Everything was perfectly clean, comfortable, and the kitchen had literally everything you could need. Sibu Cafe, Scala and the Gastro Park were favorite restaurants in the area. Playa Hermosa was the perfect beach to relax and boogie board/surf at and they have lifeguards! It was a vacation we will remember forever!

Heaven on Earth
Gorgeous Balinese house that blends perfectly into its mountaintop jungle setting and boasts spectacular views, ocean surround sound, and amazing wildlife. It was the perfect week-long vacation setting for us and our well-travelled daughter and two grandsons (ages 8 and 9), who pronounced this their favorite vacation ever. Beaches, horse riding, and other activities are nearby, but we found it hard to leave this amazing place between all the nature walks, constant wildlife appearances, infinity pool and hot tub, outside showers, on-site massages, and the amazing kitchen crew. Alexandra, Juan, and Naca were an amazing team that kept us extremely well-fed--breakfast and dinner--all week long. Ana provded all manner of local concierge support--so affable and responsive. Owner Pat--from Texas--also passed on superb advice from afar. Everything about our Lattice House stay couldn't have been more perfect ... many thanks to Pat and her incredible team!

Celebrating family at Lattice House
From the moment we saw Lattice House on VRBO we fell in love. Little did we know that the actual experience would surpass everyone’s expectations. We travelled with our children and grand daughter to our favorite place on earth: Costa Rica. Lattice House is a spectacular property; easy to find off Rte 34, convenient to everything but special in a way that leaves you with unforgettable memories. Incredible Experience
There isn’t enough words to describe the incredible experience we had while staying at the Lattice House. The grounds were immaculate, and the amount of wildlife we saw on the property was amazing. We had so many fun experiences animal watching everyday we decided to name all our little friends we saw. Can’t forget to mention the hike to the waterfall on the property. Such a fun adventure! This was by far the best trip of our life. The staff was exceptional. Ana is top notch and made this entire trip smooth for us. She was always in communication and very quick to reply if we ever needed anything like directions or suggestions for beaches etc. Alexandra’s cooking was fantastic. We loved having her come in and cook us meals. We even added on an extra day because we enjoyed her cooking more than going out. I don’t think any other trip can compare to the experiences we had here. My family and I have memories that will last a life time! Thank you for having us!

Best Vacation Ever
My wife and I’ve been to a lot of places, and have rented many vrbo properties. This was by far the best one. You simply will not believe this place. Between the massive grounds to the amazing house, you cannot help but be impressed. You hear all of the sounds of the rainforest at all times because you are basically in one. Unobstructed view of the ocean and Whale’s Tail. Completely safe with 2 guards on property. Ana is great to work with while there, and will help with anything you may need. Great house for a group, but also perfect if you just want seclusion. Look no further!

Fabulous Lattice House
Paradise! At the risk of sounding like a worn out cliche I can't think of a more appropriate word to describe Lattice House. We have just returned from eight glorious days there and Pat (the owner) has graciously asked if there is anything I can think of to improve the experience. After a lot of thought I came up empty. Lots of positives though: 1: The location midway between Uvita and Domenical is excellent, beautiful beaches great shopping and restaurants. 2: Ana the concierge is amazing, incredibly attentive, thoughtful and full of terrific suggestions for activities and side trips and apparently able to arrange just about anything. 3: The house itself is nothing short of stunning. There were six of us and we barely made a dent in the available space. It is beautifully appointed inside and out which is important because the Costa Rican climate means that inside and outside are virtually synonymous. The pool/Jacuzzi area, and outside shower were big standouts for me. It's hard to imagine anyone not falling in love with this place. Pura Vida indeed!

The house was in very clean and everything was in working condition, the jacuzzi was in perfect working condition and got hot very quick, which was a huge bonus. Best Vacation EVER!!!
Hands down our best vacation ever. The Lattice House is amazing. Wonderful layout, abundantly equipped with all you need. AC in bed rooms and ability to have “open air” throughout with a multitude of aptly placed sliding doors and windows. The wildlife and landscaping on the property is like a fairy tale. We saw coati, pecari, exotic lizards and frogs, monkeys, toucans, and other exotic birds in the back yard! The view from the back deck is amazing. The kids had a blast in the pool. The locals are the most wonderful people and the culture is absolutely beautiful. The house manager, Ana, did an amazing job helping us plan our trip, and it truly wouldn’t have been the same without her support and input. It was much appreciated for first-time CR visitors like us. The Uvita/Dominical area is wonderful. Although I’d like to see other parts of CR, it would be tough for me to pass up what I know is wonderful when we book our next trip. Plenty of markets, restaurants, shopping, activities, and glorious nature nearby. Not too crowded from tourists either. We would 100% recommend this house and we have full intentions of returning again to stay at Lattice House in the future. Be warned…. During and after your stay, you will most likely want to move to CR :). It’s a place like no other. Pura Vida!!!!

Stunning property
Our family of four, including two older teens, was overjoyed to call Lattice House our home for the last six nights. The home itself is stunning, perfectly outfitted, and somehow luxurious in every way without being overstated. The bird-watching on the property was fantastic. The call of howler monkeys from above and below the house kept us on the lookout for mammals as well. While we didn't see the monkeys, we did see multiple agouti and coati every day. It was remarkably easy to work with Anna, the property manager, both before and during the trip. She arranged for a driver from the airport and had the rental car dropped off at the house. Additionally, we had Alexandria cook dinner for us on two evenings. Both were exceptional meals. Anna also recommended and arranged our activities. We were already fans of the Uvita region and had been looking for a truly relaxing escape from which to revisit the area. Lattice House more than delivered. We can't wait to return.

Our days in paradise!
Our time at the Lattice House was (most likely) the best vacation my wife and I have had. We were there with two other couples (friends from our Church - First Presbyterian of Oceanside) and had a blast. It was the first time in CR for all of us. The staff was amazing, and Ana went above and beyond for us. I left my prescription sunglasses at the house when we left last Saturday. I contacted her and not only did she find them, but went to DHL to ship them to me. We had two meal prepared for us and were great! Spent most of our time enjoying the pool and all of its amazing views. There were tons of wild animals to observe and photograph. It was quite the "show" every day, right outside our backyard. We went to two restaurants (one in Uvita and the other north towards Domicial) called the Beehive and La Parcela. I highly recommend both. Go to La Parcela for a sunset meal, as all tables have an ocean view. Great value too. Had a lobster plate special that included three (yes three) whole grilled lobsters for $38 USD. Crazy good. Cannot say enough about how wonderful of a time we had at this property! Thanks so much, everyone (Pat, Ana, etc.) for an unforgettable week in paradise.

Magical Lattice House
We were family of 6 and we stayed at Lattice House from Dec. 19-26, 2022. The communication was excellent with Pat (the owner) and Ana (the property manager). Ana made all the arrangements from transportation from/to San Jose, tours, rental car, surfing lessons, chef and restaurant reservations. Our time at Lattice house was truly a vacation. One BIG pleasant surprise for us was that there were no mosquitoes or flies at the house or at the beach. We brought bug sprays that we did not even use. Lattice House is a beautiful property. Everyday we used the pool. We loved the outdoor showers – just felt part of nature. The chef, Anne, was very good and we ate most of the dinners at home. We had the best view, best food and perfect time together. I recommend hiking to the waterfall (we hiked 3 times there). It is so magical where it seemed like our own private waterfall where we can swim. It was just pure magic. For anyone visiting Lattice House, I would recommend closed-toe hiking sandals (to hike to waterfall and swim) and open-toe hiking sandals for the beach. All of us would recommend Lattice House for its beauty, comfort and totally worry-free vacation. Thank you so much Pat, Ana, Chef Anne and everyone who made our family holiday vacation Magical. We will definitely return.
