Do NOT go here. The food was just awful, and very limited. They had one buffet for breakfast, (opened a smaller version at japanese restaurant some mornings with even less), no variety. I'm used to at least being able to get a smoothie, even when said they had at the coffee shop. No. The wait time to get seated at restaurants wasn't bad, but the wait time in the restaurants was ridiculous. We would play cards hoping our food would eventually come out-and these weren't huge tables-broke the family up into tables of 5 to get seated. The steakhouse was the joke. We were told at the beginning kitchen was overwhelmed and by the time we got our food-they were out of most of the sides-meat was inedible and I literally just ate french fries after 3 hours. We brought our entire family and the kids were bored out of their minds. We had to push ourselves down the water slides, so they were done with the waterpark in about 15 minutes on the first day. There is NO beach, and water isn't clear which I expected for the area. The highlight of our stay was the day we booked an excursion and left the property. They ran out of towels,.....I had to call/ask the maid for enough towels each day, mini bar was refilled only twice after I called numerous times, basic things like soap/shampoo. I had recently stayed at another property in September in the area and the comparison was shocking. The staff there, even to the gardeners, everyone was pleasant and great to talk to. Here, NO.

They didn't have our room ready by 3pm and I booked two room because I have 3 small kids but they gave me two room at two driftent buildings, they guy at check in was rude and no helpful at all. Very poor service all over

For as many restaurants that the facility had we were dissapointed in the food options. For lunch only 2 places were open. The buffet had poor food options as well as the 1 restaurant that was open. For dinner, not all the restaraunts were open and had wait times up to 2 hours. Once we were seated it took up to an hour and a half for us to complete our meal. Sometimes taking 10 minutes to get our drinks and order food. The italian food was at best acceptable and room temperature. I would have sent it back but it took so long and we were starving. We have stayed at hyatt ziva before and everything was exceptional which is why we chose to stay here and were very dissapointed. We also left our keys and ring in the safe and when we asked about it they said it was never found. The stay made me question if hyatt ziva was worth staying at again. The scenery was beautiful and plenty of pools to swim in, room was nice but they never refilled the shower gel when we asked. Staff was amazing as usual.

We stayed at Hyatt Ziva Riviera Cancun for 5N/6D. It is a nice all inclusive property. There were limited vegetarian/vegan options but when we talked to the chefs they were accommodating and made food we can eat. I wish they have more vegetarian/vegan options. We like this property.

It was a horrible experience. This was not the way we wanted to end our Mexico vacation. We stayed in the hotel for 2 nights, 1st day we got the room only at 4pm(while check-in is 3pm) and only after we had to insist to get a room immediately because our sleeping baby. We got an option to upgrade the room from water park view to ocean view, we took it but it wasn't worth it. The room was far from the ocean and we could see only small piece of it behind the trees. The service was really slow and we had to call 3-4 times to make sure things are handling. When we book the hotel we asked for a crib to our room, not only it was not there but we got it only at 10:30pm and only after 4 phone calls and physically visit at the reception. On the 2nd day the cleaners came to clean our room only at 5pm and only after we had to call and insist for it. The food is average and below, especially compared to the price we paid and to other places we've been in Mexico. There were not enough options for kids during the meals and system of booking a table in one of the restaurants is very inefficient. It was not fresh and we personally saw 2 times that the staff is changing food because of bad quality(once it was the soup and once the Cuscus). Generally, it was the worst place we've been in Mexico.

Power out in the room 3 days during the 4 days we stayed. The food choices are very limited and not very well. They really try very hard to sell the preferred membership. And it will waste almost half day of the vacation time. The front desk very difficult to access and called many times no one pick up phone. The beach is full of weeds and no one can be in the ocean because the water is black.

Not sure why this is rated high. The food options and quality are terrible. Don't think even one meal was above average at best. The service is the restaurants is also poor and they are perpetually overwhelmed. Get some professionals to come and run the hotel so the food quality can be improved. Not expected of a Hyatt!!

Things that can be improved 1) Room Service ( Failed to deliver in a timely manner more than once) 2) Dinning options are not good except Mediterian restaurant 3) Few waiters are ignoring customers who doesnt tip well 4) Cleanliness is not upto the mark, Left few plates on stairs and trash can be found 5) Bathroom near the towel area is not cleaned at all properly 6) Bathroom near the mediterian restaurant is not cleaned properly 7) Avoid timesharing , they trick you with 90 minutes but you waste more than 5 hours Good: 1) Keeping you engaged with entertainment every night from 6pm 2) Drinks bars are there in more than one place (less wait) 3) Service is good except in few instances Overall ok to stay food and entertainment

Please Read this! Our family are frequent travelers (3-5 trips per year) and we all agree that there was enough deficiencies that this property is at best a 3.5 - 4 star property & experience. Beach was 2/10. Unusable due to rocks, seaweed, aggressive birds and shallow water. Literally, not swim able. This was so far below the ā€œHyattā€ standards it wasnā€™t even funny. Service at the specialty restaurants was painfully bad. Think 2 hour two course meals with wine arriving 1 hour after ordering your ā€œspecialtyā€ ripe off wine. Thatā€™s when it was actually available. 2/10 Lunch was low quality crap. Similar offerings to a 3.5-4 star Cuban all inclusive resort. Cold burger patties, hot dog wieners, pathetic pizzas, fake cheese nachosā€¦. Need I say more ā€œHyattā€. 3 of our family members experienced two days of food poisoning including myself. Saving grace was the hotel room, gym (fitness center) and some brand name adult beverages. This was ā€œhighā€ season that we experienced this. Dec 19-27, 2024. Overall, this experience was completely overpriced for the quality of the experience. Majestic, Royalton, Riu, Iberostar are far better 4.5 - 5 star options. We all departed unsatisfied. Never again Hyatt!
