It’s tough to navigate through the many reviews about this property, but here’s my honest take:
Before traveling, I was nervous because the property was impossible to get in touch with. I tried calling and emailing multiple times, but there was no response. This was especially troubling given the number of mixed and negative reviews online. I just wanted to confirm that this was a legitimate place, and the lack of communication didn’t inspire confidence.
First, the property itself is beautiful, and the staff are genuinely amazing. They’re doing their best under the circumstances. However, as many have mentioned, the recent change in ownership seems to have left some growing pains, and the new management still has work to do to make this a truly great destination.
My biggest issue was the food. The options are extremely limited, and dining at the available restaurants can be a hassle. For example, one evening we arrived at 7 PM, waited until 7:45 PM for a table, and didn’t receive our food until 8:45 PM. Unfortunately, the quality didn’t make up for the wait. While the staff handled complaints graciously, it’s clear that management needs to step up and address these operational challenges.
Another concern was the pricing for the New Year’s Eve event. Charging $250 per table seemed excessive given what was offered, leaving some guests disappointed.
