After checking in I was very disappointed with “the pool view” I decided to go back down and ask about an upgrade specifically since the person checking in before us got a free upgrade! The room I wanted was available but I had to pay over 6 thousand pesos additionally for an upgrade for 2 nights. Most amenities were unavailable for example all the restaurants were booked for dinner. And the buffet had terrible service… our bathroom ceiling was pouring water and it took 40 minutes for someone to come look at it. We let staff know about the water at 9 pm and no one came to clean the mess/flood until 10:47pm! Jamara let me know they would change our room until the next day… which was done. Our last day there I requested to check out late (which I was told it was a perk of my paid upgrade)and was rudely told by Jamara ABSOLUTELY not and that she needed my room key at exactly 12pm… we gathered our stuff and proceeded to check out and no one was available to check us out….the people before us had already been waiting over 30 minutes. So I just handed her our bracelets and room keys and left.

The resort was beautiful it’s weird with Expedia they make you check into the resort in the basement. Reservations for the restaurants were nearly impossible to get even days in advance. The food at the buffet was good and fresh so this wasn’t a huge problem. The beds were comfortable and the blackout curtains were great. The bar at the top with Alexander and Carlos was the best consistent good drinks and worth the walk no matter where you are hanging out. The biggest issue we had is the chair holding problem where people got towels and saved chairs and then were never there all day. Which caused poverty mentality over lounge chairs. Overall good experience safe, easy and fun.

Great stay with our extended family. Kids were able to safely spend time around the property whether at the beach or pool, taking advantage of the buffet or snack bars. Despite it being the holidays it was never too crowded and the guests were all great to be around. The staff are helpful and quick to respond.

Not a worthwhile stay. Property constantly ran out of items. Customer service was terrible and inconsistent. Son got food poisening on last day. Towels were so run down pool and bathrooms. Never was given enough towels by hotel room service staff. No hot water for first 3 days. Shower unit wouldnt stay on wall. Water leaked under shower door. Limited room amenities. No mirror in bedroom. Tiny closet. Limited food choices. Flys and wasps everywhere. Cafe alway ran out of items.

The staff were friendly and the resort was clean. The rooms were large and well-kept. The showers were great. The dining was good in the buffet and the a-la-carte, however, it was difficult to book reservations and the times seemed to be super limited for the restaurants, which made it difficult to get the options we desired. The wifi was average in common areas, somewhat spotty, and non-existent in the rooms, which made it difficult to communicate with friends and family who were on resort and off-resort. It was incredibly difficult to get pool-side and beach chairs during our stay. We had returned from a night out in PV and returned around 2 am and there were people already putting towels and other 'items' on chairs to reserve them despite there being signs that chairs could not be reserved and if left unattended for >45 minutes, items would be removed and they'd be available for other guests. It got very frustrating seeing chairs reserved all day and no one sit at them and the rules not be enforced. There were 4 of us staying and over our 8 day stay, we only managed to get 2 chairs on 3 separate days, which was disappointing because we weren't able to enjoy relaxing by the pool or on chairs/loungers at the beach. Overall, however, the stay was great, despite the few qualms. We would recommend to friends and family and it would be a great resort for families with young kids or those just looking to go to an affordable place and enjoy great sunsets & good food/drinks!

This is a three star property at best. All it needs is some good management and a few improvements in the dining, food selection, à la carte reservation system, access to lounge chairs, and more staff available to serve guests who have to wait in long lineups for food and drink. The resort also lacked activities and entertainment. The shows were brief and only provided seating for 30 to 40 guests at a time. The bar also closed early. There was no late night food other than paying for room service and waiting 45 minutes. Also, the lobby lacked any kind of wow factor. there was very limited seating there and only One person working the very small bar, no music, no ambiance whatsoever. So many little things could have been improved with good management to make the guest’s stay a lot more enjoyable and comfortable. Will not return to this resort nor will I recommend to others. We were very disappointed. Krystal can do much better. The only thing they were good at was saying no to each, and every little guest request. There was no evidence of any of them trying to go above and beyond, nor did they make their guests stay a priority. They did however expect and enjoy all of the tips that were given.

We stayed over New Year’s and had a great time! The facilities were great; clean rooms, lovely pools, access to the beach, good food for the price of the package. The staff were always responsive and they created a very special evening on New Year’s Eve with a huge buffet, dancing and fireworks! We would love to go back for another visit!

Overall we had a great stay and family vacation. Our room was clean and we had a great view. All the staff was very friendly and the entertainment staff was lots of fun! The buffet had great selections and the snack bar was very good. The al a carte restaurants were average. The one thing I found lacking was spaces for groups to hang out during the evenings. In the photos online they show lounging seats with tables all over the lobby but there were only two. Also the WiFi was very weak unless you were in the lobby.

Excellent week stay over New Year’s for our family. We were lucky to be upgraded to “Altitude” with a beautiful ocean view room. We were able to book dining at all the a la carte restaurants. The coffee bar is amazing and we used it very well during our stay. The Grill restaurant had amazing food, both for Italian and Grill nights. The Asian and Mexican were also good. The buffet had a lot of variety and staff worked very hard to keep food replenished. The entertainment staff had many varied activities to suit all tastes and were fun and enthusiastic. The best part of our stay was the INCLUDED New Years’s Eve fiesta. It has been over 15 years of many NYE in Mexico where it has always been extra for the event. The spread the staff put out was truly amazing. We loved everything about our stay right down to the hospitality room so we could prepare for our evening flight home. Location is great for walking to Bucerias and very convenient bike rental shop for a ride along the Nuevo bike path. As mentioned in every review, only small negative was the sporadic wifi available in certain spots on the property and not in the rooms. Fully enjoyed our stay and recommend 10/10.

The staff are great, very helpful and friendly. The room was not great and was not what we were expecting. One of the beds in our room was very hard and the other one was a little softer but overall not very comfortable. The pool was awesome, probably the best part.

Was nice for max 7 days. Alcohol was very poor selection even for black wrist band. High end vodka was Absolute. High end whisky was Black Label. Only one choice of brand of beer (Tecate). Adult pool should be skimmed a couple times a day, turned very dirty with garbage and brown foam. Seating at pool, people were saving chairs very very early am like 4 or 5am and even later the night before. Activities were very average for adults. Bar staff at all bars were not very customer friendly. Minus the one bartender at the lobby bar, young fellow with glasses-very nice. The sky bar bar tender was the absolute worst and extremely rude. Every night we were there he was extremely dismissive and made whatever drink he wanted rather than what was requested. The staff at the pool swim up bar catered to the Mexicans first at all times. Especially, the sports bar. Was hard to watch NFL on one small TV with locals watching soccer on several TV’s at a very loud volume and then took over pool table and Spanish music. The evening activities were usually short and uneventful. The vendors selling stuff on the beach were non-stop. Bucerias was nice and easily accessible. Would not go to Sayulita again. Was there 6 years ago, was beautiful and nice and quiet. Now it’s way too busy and you can barely enjoy the beach. Unfortunate. Food was good for the first week, but there was nothing different and became too much. Felt like the restaurants service got worse every time we returned.
