Namu is a small but beautiful resort just a few blocks out of Puerto Viejo. It is a perfect private stay for those who desire a romantic getaway with the opportunity to explore. They offered great day trips and strong air conditioning. Shower pressure wasn’t great. Food was not worth the hype or price, but staff were kind and attentive

This property is absolutely beautiful and the staff is so kind and accommodating. Breakfast was fresh and delicious and the spa was amazing! The resort is minutes walking distance to the beach town of Puerto Viejo with lots of shopping opportunities. The locals are very welcoming and we felt very safe. I rarely stay at the same place twice, but I would absolutely return to this resort when visiting the area again (which I plan to!). Our bungalow with private pool was lovely. Highly recommend.

Namu Garden Hotel was beautiful and the perfect destination to relax and rejuvenate! The breakfast was great, the rooms were stunning (we stayed in Casa Namu, which was perfect for 4 people especially since it had 2 bathrooms), and the staff was super nice and accommodating. They offered us a shuttle ride from San Jose for a very reasonable price (it was about the same as just taking a bus but with the convenience of being private and picking us up at the time we wanted). The hotel was also walking distance to the beach and the town of Puerto Viejo which was super convenient. I would definitely stay here again next time I come to Puerto Viejo!

We had an incredible stay at Namu! It was worth the drive from San Jose - the property was quiet and private and the staff were amazing! Our room was beautiful and the private pool was such a nice addition to our stay. The food was delicious and the presentation was always beautiful. We had a couples massage with sound healing and aromatherapy - in the open air spa and rain coming down outside, it made it so much more relaxing. Douglas the manager and Jeremy the server made our stay so special. Their service was top notch!

This place was simply a paradise, they do everything they can to ensure that your stay is a pleasant one. I rarely want to return to a resort as my trips are more towards exploring, but this place needs to be enjoyed more than once. We stayed in a room with a private pool that surpassed our expectations, the room was well-equipped and the front desk accommodated any additional needs. The pool and the deep soak tub were an excellent way to end our day.

Me and my daughter just had a 6 night stay at Namu Gardens and it was beyond excellent! The staff called us by name our entire trip. The food was excellent and the breakfast was exceptional. The hotel booked all our daily tours we went horse back riding and snorkeling twice. Our trip was truly magical. I recommend spa treatments and their amazing coffee. We will be back!

This property is absolutely lovely! Special shout out to the staff who were so attentive - from our hibiscus welcome drink to assistance with transportation - they made each day special. We watched colorful birds from our terrace while sipping CR coffee and ate deliciously prepared meals at the restaurant by the gorgeous turquoise blue pool. Our suite was clean, comfortable, and air-conditioned. The walkability to town was nice, too. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay. I’ll be back!!

This hotel was a lovely surprise for our first trip to the Caribbean side of our adopted country Costa Rica! Beautiful hotel and beautiful grounds. We ate most of our meals at the hotel because the food is just so very good. My only real suggestion is that they close the pool at 7:00pm because the pool is right next to the lovely dining area. Inebriated adults in the pool acting like children can really spoil an otherwise beautiful ambiance and evening dining experience. Look forward to staying again!

Staying at Namu was a dream! The accommodations and grounds were beautiful, comfortable, quiet, and had everything you needed. It was a true oasis. The staff were SO helpful and kind. Everyone spoke English well, but were also kind enough to let me use my minimal Spanish without judgement. The food at Num was also excellent!

One of the best, if not the best hotel in terms of esthetics, privacy and customer service I have experienced. I had the bungalow with my own private pool. The Num restaurant served fresh delicious balanced meals(kind of pricy tho). Breakfast was amazing, filling and included in your stay. The staff always had a smile and were eager to help when in need. Housekeeping was daily with fresh towels, the location of the hotel was walking distance from restaurants, the beach, taxis, TikTok’s and stores including supermarkets. Playa negra is like a 5 minutes walk, playa cocles like a 25 minutes walk but on bike like 10 minutes and many other beaches. The jaguar animal rescue center is like a 20-25 minute biking. And cacao farm and tour is 10 minutes walk. Loved the hotel will definitely go back. Only problem were the insects at times will find their way in the room but it’s expected since you are around lots of plants and trees.give this hotel a 5 star for sure!!

I recently stayed at Namu Garden Hotel & Spa - Adults Only in Puerto Viejo, Costa Rica, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our stay at Namu. The staff was polite and courteous and eager to serve with a smile. We stayed in bungalow 2 and it was extremely clean, well appointed and very private. Our private plunge pool was beautiful and clean and we used it every day. The staff works very hard to keep the property clean. The service staff made every meal and cocktail we enjoyed at the property pleasant. The property is conveniently located within walking distance of all of the local shops, markets and stores. The locals are the friendliest and happiest people on earth. We highly recommend Namu and hope to visit again!

This place is amazing! The property is so beautiful, very well maintained! The service was great! The staff was very kind and helpful! We stayed in a bungalow and loved the private plunge pool and deck! The room was nice and clean! The only thing that we wish was better was the mattress. We will definitely be coming back!
