Summary:
Welcome to Scott Creek Lodge, a spacious 7-BR, 10-bed, 7.5-BA retreat in SW Michigan featuring a fire pit, hot tub, rec room, screened porch, and large deck. Sleeping up to 16 guests, this home also includes access to a private dock with a small beach and canoe nearby. Set on wooded acreage with a gentle stream, it’s the perfect spot for relaxing with loved ones or exploring nearby hiking, biking, and kayaking adventures!

The Space:
This extensively remodeled (completed in late 2021) home, where the main floor offers a well-equipped kitchen with an island, a spacious dining area, and a cozy living room with ample seating, a 55" TV, and a stunning gas fireplace. The main level also features three queen bedrooms, each with an ensuite. Enjoy the sun and fresh breezes from the glass-enclosed front porch, 3-season screened porch, or roomy deck, and watch woodland critters in the backyard. Gather around the fire pit for drinks, s’mores, and stories, or fire up the large park-style charcoal grill to cook everyone’s favorites.
Upstairs, find three more queen bedrooms with ensuites, a kid-friendly room with 4 twin beds and its own full bath, plus a stackable washer/dryer. Head to the basement rec room for pool, air hockey, and foosball, or relax in the large 8-person hot tub on the back patio, open year-round. The basement also includes a half bath with a separate shower, a full-sized refrigerator, and a 65" TV for game-day excitement.

You will have access to the entire property. Guests have the flexibility to gain convenient access to our home via the keypad entry system any time after the designated check-in time on their scheduled arrival date. Upper Scott Lake, under half a mile away, offers a private beach, dock, and canoe for guests.

Step outside and discover scenic hiking trails right in your backyard, where each path invites you to explore and connect with nature just moments from your door. Relax by the lake, explore vibrant autumn colors, or immerse yourself in the refreshing blooms of spring. Located just 10-15 minutes from Crane’s Orchards and Dutch Farms for delicious pies and fruit picking, and near Fennville Winery for tours and tastings, there’s plenty to explore nearby. Antique lovers will find treasures in South Haven, Allegan, Douglas, Saugatuck, and along Blue Star Highway. In summer, enjoy dune rides, South Haven’s beaches, local fruit picking, and art galleries.

Getting Around:
To explore all the amazing spots in Southwest Michigan, you’ll definitely need a car! We're conveniently located to coastal towns—15 minutes from downtown South Haven, 20 minutes from Saugatuck, and 25 minutes from Holland.
Please note: We currently don’t offer electric vehicle (EV) charging on-site. Attempting to charge an EV does damage our electrical system, any violations will incur a $400.00 fee plus any repair costs. Thank you for helping us keep things running smoothly!

Other Things to Note:
Wi-Fi internet is provided by AT&T, but they only offer limited speeds best suited to web browsing & checking email. More than a few connected devices at a time will cause lag. We provide satellite TV & DVD players for all our homes since video streaming is not an option.
Loud parties with excessive alcohol/drug use are not allowed. All drinking games are prohibited. Township-mandated quiet hours are from 10 PM-8 AM daily. We ask that nothing be stuck to our walls since this will damage the paint. You may not use tinsel, glitter, confetti, feathers, etc. during your stay since these leave a mess that is hard & time-consuming for our small staff to clean up.
No EV charging, smoking, fireworks, vaping, marijuana use, or pets/animals. No exceptions.
Note: Docks, Watercraft & Outdoor Dining Furniture Are Not Available Oct 25-Apr 15. This home closes for the winter after New Year's Eve until April 1.

Fall Family/Friends Trip
We loved this cabin. We were in the trees which we loved and it is a short drive to the highway to go sightseeing and visiting local towns. We have five different couples and we enjoy not sharing a bathroom. We are booking this house again for next year. We loved the big table for dinner together and game playing.

Family get together
Fantastic property. Everyone enjoyed our stay. We took several rides into Saugatuck and Meijers was relatively close in South Haven for groceries. Crane’s U-pick was great. We all did projects at the Art Barn. The kids had a blast at Lake Arvesta. Dinner at the Grill house in Allegan was awesome.

After many weeks of searching for the house that would meet all our requirements, we settled on this house. Not only did it meet all our requirements....it was even better than we hoped it would be. It was the perfect place to celebrate with family. We loved the back yard, the lovely forest-like surrounding, the fire pit, the kitchen, the many places in the home that provided all sorts of opportunities for our family. The deck was another favorite. We ate many of our meals out there all seated at once. The younger set loved the lower level with pool table, etc. We even appreciated the 3 trash containers instead of just one. It was a memorable week spent in the perfect place for us.

Just Perfect! Spacious and Beautiful!
We loved this house. Our family stays at a different rental home each year and this house received RAVE reviews. There is ample common area spaces, where folks could sit and chat, play games, cook together, hot tub, or enjoy a game of catch in the back yard. The bedrooms each had a private bathroom - a huge hit! The kitchen had everything we needed, and we cooked almost every meal. We rented kayaks for a few days. We enjoyed those, and the complimentary canoe (did some fishing here and there). Excellent communication with the propery manager - would highly recommend!

Great place to have a retreat!
We had a wonderful friends retreat here. The way the house gives outdoor spaces, as well as two different indoor spaces helps people gather and enjoy time apart. The kitchen also was very well equipped with tools and space. Finally the setting Sun is just spectacular over the lake. Would 100% recommend.

We absolutely loved this property! The house is super spacious and very well updated. The backyard is beautiful. The fire pit is such a nice touch and we loved the hot tub. Be careful leaving the doors open because the flies can get a bit crazy.

Girls Like to Have Fun!
Mothers, sisters & daughters gathered from across the country for a long weekend at your beautiful lodge. Scott Lodge exceeded our expectations with multiple places to visit including a well stocked kitchen, 2 family rooms - one with grand fireplace that was shared with one of 2 screened porches, a fire pit, & a fun room on the lower level that overlooked a yummy, warm bubbly oversized hot tub . There was plenty of room for food in 2 full sized fridges+ half size and a large dining area to share our meals. We appreciated the 7 adorable, immaculate bedrooms, each with sink & shower - a great escape for a quick nap & sound sleep on comfy beds. Ample parking was available. We hiked the nearby forest just outside the back door with trails clearly marked, birds singing , geese walking babies and a few deer sited too. Our Host Elizabeth was very accommodating. She responded quickly to questions, offered suggestions for nearby activities and checked on us daily through text. We did not have enough time to do everything we planned so we hope to visit again. If you are looking for a beautiful home for a group to gather, look no further. Scott Lake is perfect!

We loved having so many bedrooms with on-suite bathrooms! The house was very clean and the kitchen was well-equipped. The hot tub and pool table were nice amenities. The one complaint our group had was that the seating area for the TV was very small and made watching a movie a bit challenging. Otherwise, we really enjoyed our stay!

A perfect home for a large group
We had a wonderful stay at this home! We had a large family get together, spanning three generations and the house was just perfect. The individual bedrooms and bathrooms were great, and all of the shared space was perfect. We started our mornings with coffee on the screened in porch, had dinners on the deck, and gathered around the fire pit at night. There was plenty of outdoor space for the children (ages 3-13) to run and play. The kitchen was fantastically equipped with everything we needed to take turns cooking each night, including serving pieces and Pyrex containers for leftovers. The two sets of laundry machines were also great. We loved the house! The private “beach” was a little misleading, as it was actually just a small patch of sand within a grassy area at the home’s private spot. We were able to enjoy the periods of time we spent there, though it would not have occupied a full day, or really even an afternoon. Also, it’s only a short distance to this spot, but a portion of that was on a busy road, thus while the distance is walkable, the route is not really if you gave small children. We spent our beach time in South Haven, which a reasonable drive, and loved it! I would absolutely recommend this home!

Great Stay and loved the house. It was within 25 minutes of South Haven and Saugatuck. If I had one thing negative to say would be the beach area by the lakefront down the road is really not a beach area and not awesome for swimming. we didn't utilize lake at all. but being pretty close to other large beaches was great. Overall a great stay and never felt like we were on top of each other even with 16 of us.

We had 7 couples. There were 7 bedrooms - all had their own bathroom, except one set of bedrooms shared a (jack-and-jill) bathroom; but there were additional bathrooms in the house if needed. The large living room area, outside deck, and screened in porch(es) were great places to hang out. Game room downstairs was fun. Nice big kitchen and island. Extra fridge in basement and mini fridge in kitchen were very nice to have. Most everything you could need was supplied. We did need to call the property manager to have the propane tank swaped out, so if you plan to grill might be something to check when you first get there. Big back yard to set up corn hole or other yard games. Didn't do much in actual Pullman, but took day trips to South Haven and Saugatuck which were only about 20 mins each. Some of the group wished it was right on the water, but I think if it was we wouldn't have gone and done other things we did. Overall - great place and location and we would definitely book again!

This house was clean, spacious and fun! We had a group of 12 and there was plenty of room to spread out. Foosball, air hockey and pool in the basement! A hot tub outside and room to play corn hole! We spent half a day at the lake with the canoe and kayaks! We used the fireplace on chili nights and there was enough room for all of us to gather around the huge dining room table! Thanks for a great stay!!

This house was perfect for 7 adult friends from 2 different states. There was a bedroom and a bathroom for each person/couple. The kitchen was stocked with everything you could want or need. The hot tub was relaxing and fun. We hope to return!
