Upstairs has one king size bedroom opening onto the terrace with views across Quillan and the mountains. a second king size bedroom and a children's bedroom with 4 single bunk beds. On the ground floor is an additional double bedroom. Comfortably sleeps 10 but can accommodate 12 using double sofa bed. Games room with snooker, table tennis, PS3 & Wii, variety of games and DVD's, dartboard, football. Pool with steps down. BBQ, lots of outdoor activities in area. Lovely town with weekly markets and various restaurants. Free unlimited Wi-fi in the villa.
The property has a wrap round balcony overlooking the new triangular pool, with stunning views of the beautiful Quillan Town and the Pyrenees mountains.T he pool has child friendly 'Roman' steps (for the smaller guest!) and retractable safety cover for when not in use.
The garden is South Facing and completely self-contained with space to play and relax with piece of mind that small children cannot wander off.
The villa has a large open plan living & dining room, kitchen and family bathroom upstairs with separate WC. On the ground floor, opening out onto the terrace and pool is a spacious additional living room/games room with snooker table and table tennis and bar area. There is also a second bathroom and separate WC on the ground floor and the living space has a sofa bed so can sleep an additional two ( additional cost) if required.
The town of Quillan is a leisurely stroll ( 10 mins) to bars, restaurants and shops and the nearby beautiful River Aude. Within 5 mins from the house is the local boulangerie and bouchiere.
There is a gas BBQ/ washing machine, tumble and dishwasher available in the house.
Quillan has its own decent size supermarket, new swimming and fishing lakes, a swimming pool, a train that runs for 1 euro direct from Carcassonne if you fly in! We are about an hour from Carcassonne airport and 45 minutes from the nearest ski resorts. This really is a great location for all!
Quillan is also well known for cycling, walking and more high adventure activities such as white water rafting, kayaking and rock climbing.
A car is not essential but helpful for exploring the area to its fullest.
