Let us paint a picture for you... hot coffee in your hand, songbirds in the willow trees, and boats slowly cruising by to Lock #7. Your day might involve a paddle up the river in search of turtles or a swim off the dock. Maybe you want to do some fishing, take a trip to a local farm or antique store, or maybe you would prefer a good book in the hammock. Your evening could involve a board game or cards or you could enjoy the bonfire by the water and look at the stars.
This little 500 sq. ft. cottage has a fully-equipped kitchen, a 3-piece bath with laundry, a master bedroom with a queen sized bed, a double sized futon in the living room, a table and chairs for 4, and a wrap around deck set up with a patio set for eating outdoors. We've also stocked up on games and decks of cards.
You will also have access to our new Paddle Shack (bunkie)! Furnished with a single-over-double bunk bed.
Outdoors you have access to a flat bottom canoe, a 3-man kayak, and a paddle board, which can all be put into the water off of the dock. The dock is equipped with a full set of stairs into rocky-bottom. There are lifejackets, floaties, and water toys for all of your water play fun! If you're more of a land-lover, we also have bocce, washer toss, Kubb, Spikeball, or soccer equipment available.
Lock #7 and the Glenn Ross General Store are located at the end of the street and are accessible by paddle, peddle, foot, or car. The lock masters are friendly and love to teach about the lock. You can even grab a Kawartha Dairy Scoop from the general store before you go check it out! The General Store is stocked with many of those last minute items you forgot to bring: eggs, milk, Tylenol, toothpaste, as well as ice and worms.
