The Yellow House of Raleigh is near NCSU

Read the entire description before booking this house it may not be for you.
Just 6.8 miles to the city center of Raleigh and 6 miles to the NCSU, sits on this
2-acre lot, a retreat, designed from the original plan, The Dream House, 1994 issue of Life Magazine by a famous architect from N.Y, Robert Stern, this house has been a great place for living as well as family gatherings. We would like to invite you and stay at Country Escape and create memories with your family while in Raleigh. Most of things you need are provided. Outdoor games are also available like badminton and bean toss bags. There is a foosball, a poker table that could be converted as a bumper table in the bonus room. Outside, is a large deck and a dining table good for a party of 12. Great place to gather with family and friends. In the evening, you can plug in the hanging lights for festive atmosphere.
The main house has 3 bedrooms and a 4th bedroom in the basement. There is also a 340 sq ft bonus room in the attic and a nanny room adjacent to the Master bedroom located on the first floor. There is a trundle bed (2 single beds) in the Nanny room.. NO UNREGISTERED GUEST. Extra people will result in penalty of $30/p a
4th bedroom in the basement is a 500 sq ft room with an queen bed and a sofa bed. .
There is also a full refrigerator for now. There is an ensuite bathroom for that room. You may also enjoy the gas fire pit in the yard. Romantic as well as fun for the whole family. You have to ask the hosts to use it for further instructions.
House has a water filtration throughout the house and doubled it with a water purifier, triple reverse osmosis, great for drinking and cooking. Use the small faucet in the kitchen for drinking and cooking.
Owner of the house is under treatment of severe allergies, so we have an air purifier for the house. We left it out for you, and we have our own for our use. Please be mindful of not imposing us to sacrifice my health or the other guests who may have the same issue to sacrifice our health to make a special treatment for you. Our house does not have a separate area dedicated for ADA service dogs, but you have other choices of houses who will allow dogs. Thank you.
The owners live in the mother-in-law quarters. It is in the left wing of the basement and is very private from the house. It's set up like a townhouse, your rental and ours, with complete privacy. You probably will hardly see us unless we happened to be going out and you happened to be in the yard. We will respect your privacy and will be away most of the time. But we are always available if needed for any problems that may occur during your stay. We do have some stuff in the garage but will ask your permission to get in if needed anything for the garden or tools.
The house is in a secluded area and is close to an equestrian where you can enjoy your daily walk.
Please make sure you read the terms and conditions of your rental agreement before booking. You will be asked to return the attached agreement before you get your access. I need the copy of current driver's license with the agreement.

NCSU Homecoming
Everything as was just as described in the literature. Linda Phillips was so helpful with anything that we needed, before and during our stay, I would recommend this property for anyone looking to stay in the Raleigh area for a few nights or even longer. We were there for NC State homecoming. 6 men in their 70s going back to relive old college and fraternity days. Thanks again, Linda.

We used The Yellow House during business hours for 2.5 days. Linda was accomodating and generous - even allow us to check out a little later than normal so we could wrap up our Staff Retreat. It was a great time! Well appointed and cozy. The outdoor space was lovely and exactly what we wanted!

Cul-de-sac Delite!
Large house with everything you need! Big yard, quiet neighborhood and lovely hosts at this house. Great location for families needing a place to stay for an event at The Meadows at Firefly Farms. Only 5 minutes from this wedding venue. Was a great option for our group of 3 couples and 3 children versus hotel rooms farther away from the wedding we were attending. Distinct separate areas in the house for multi-family needs!

Family gathering for a birthday celebration
We had four families come together for a weekend celebration with ages ranging from 1 to 78. The house was perfect - large enough for people to have their own space as well plenty of room to all be together. The home is well equipped and the owners very responsive. If we ever need a place to stay in the Raleigh area, The Yellow House will definitely be our top choice!

Lovely, quiet, relaxing, beautiful home
Family from 3 states gathered in NC to celebrate a local graduate and this was a perfect place for us to spend time together and relax. The rooms were very comfortable and quiet, the spaces accommodated us well. The kitchen was well-equipped and the perfect place for a cooking a family breakfast! The home has so much to offer, but by far our favorite place to spend time was the covered porch! We ate breakfast and dinner there as well as sat outside to visit with each other and other times alone to read. Even in the NC heat and humidity, the fans on the porch made the temperature comfortable enough to spend a lot of time there. The location was great - quiet, peaceful street, but close to stores and restaurants/shopping. The owners were easy to communicate with and left detailed instructions on everything we could think of. We will definitely try to stay here again when we get the opportunity!

Great outdoor deck
The outdoor deck is a great asset of this house. It is private and accommodates a large group. The house was clean with comfortable beds in the bedrooms, nice bathrooms, and a kitchen stocked with all that we needed. It comfortably sleeps 8 people with 4 full beds. The only downfall is that we didn't find the day bed and pullout couch to be comfortable so this is something to consider if you have to sleep more than 8 people. Otherwise, we enjoyed this home.

NC State Homecoming Weekend
5 of us NC State alumni gathered in the Big Yellow House for our annual football game weekend reunion. Not only were we able to enjoy our Wolfpack win a big game against Clemson, we had a wonderful time reconnecting and especially enjoyed our time on the large deck. Quiet neighborhood, roomy house and very comfortable beds throughout. Felt like we were out in the country but still close proximity to NC State and downtown Cary. Enjoyed it all! Thanks to our wonderful host!

LOVELY! Wam and Comfortable
This home is absolutely lovely. The owners have thought of everything to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Everything about this home felt warm and welcoming and as if they were grateful we chose them to stay with. It's clean and fresh, but doesn't feel 'cold or sterile'. The owners are close by, so they're there if you need them and yet you'd never know it unless you asked. You have your privacy but feel the safety of having them near. They're thoughtful in every way. From every lovely decoration and amenity in the home, to answering questions and being quickly available if needed. The bathrooms! Wonderful!! Great water pressure in each one and big, spacious and clean with the nicest showers and jet tub. Towels are clean and soft and thirsty and anything you might need has been thought of and available for you. The beds and pillows are perfect. It's just really a comfortable place to stay.

Delightful country home
This is a wonderful house if you are wanting to get off the beaten path, but stay near the action. Close to downtown Raleigh, when we were at the house we saw deer and woodpeckers as the house is adjacent to a woods and at the end of a cul de sac. The inside of the home is beautifully decorated and the beds very comfortable. The house has a beautiful porch facing the woods with a large table that we had breakfast on and then played games in the shade during the afternoon, staying cool despite the warm temperatures outside. Inside, the kitchen is fully stocked and the entire house was very clean. The owners have taken great care of the house and if you are looking to do the same, this is a great place for you.

We enjoyed our stay here--the house was in a lovely wooded setting, and was roomy for the 7 adult guests that stayed. The kitchen was amazing. Perfect location for our group to attend rowing races at Lake Wheeler for two days and the graduation events at Duke University over the weekend.
