About this property

Entire place

You'll have the entire home to yourself and will only share it with other guests in your party.

The Chapel. A large grade 2 listed property, perfect for families and groups.

The Chapel is a large 3 bedroom self-catering holiday property, situated on the edge of a coastal village, and within 4 miles of lots of award winning sandy beaches. The property can sleep up to 13 guest in its 3 bedrooms, with the addition of three portable beds and 2 leather chesterfield bed settee.

On the ground floor of The Chapel, the 40 foot lounge houses a full size American pool table, a large television with free view, 4 comfortable sofas, (one being a sofa bed) as well as a baby grand piano. There is also a Wii, an Xbox 360 and several board games for guests to use.

A beautiful walnut staircase leads up to a spacious open plan kitchen/dining room, which was designed for families and entertaining. The 6-foot oak dining table seats up to 12 guests, and with a very sociable breakfast bar so the cook doesn't get left out of the fun, making hosting any occasion a pleasure. Full length windows overlooking the secluded gardens and entrance, a chandelier and subdued lighting under the units, create a perfect ambiance for a relaxing evening.

The utility room off of the kitchen has an additional fridge, a freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer, and of course another toilet (you can't have too many of those!)

The master bedroom is on the first floor. It has a high ceiling, chandelier, a king size four poster bed and sumptuous burgundy carpet. Full sized patio windows overlook the secluded front courtyard and garden. Reclaimed 8 foot doors lead into a characterful well equipped en suite. The room oozes romance and luxury. However, we've now added a leather Chesterfield sofa bed just in case you have to bring the kids!

But, if you need to bring even more family, they won't be disappointed with the two further double bedrooms on the second floor. Both have high ceilings, exposed beams, flint walls and windows with far reaching views.

All bedrooms are fully equipped and have their own en suite, and they all have a television with free view and inbuilt DVD player, plus a hair dryer. Both top floor bedrooms have a very comfortable (according to our guests), 6-foot zip link beds with a mattress topper, so you should sleep like a baby! These beds can also be divided into two single 3 foot beds, and there are 3 additional portable beds for even more guests.

To the rear of The Chapel is a private secluded garden, containing a specially created dining alcove in flint, stone and brick. It now has inbuilt seating, hand made tables and a roof with outdoor lighting which is lovely when it gets dark with the colours changing. It's the perfect place whatever the weather, to enjoy a relaxing meal, barbecue, or just chilling with friends and a relaxing drink. Also currently we have got a hot tub hired from Goodwins in Margate. Guests hired it themselves, and then the following guests too, so Goodwins have left it with us temporarily in case new guests would also like to hire it.
Please contact me for further details if you are interested in hiring it too.

There is guaranteed parking in the secluded court yard area suitable for several cars, and we now have an electric charging point for electric and hybrid vehicles.

Amazing weekend
11 of us went to The Chapel for the weekend. Suzanne was incredibly welcoming, taking the time to show us around the property and give us an overview of its facinating history. She was extremely kind and accomodating to all our questions throughout the weekend. We had a small problem with one of the activities we had organised that didn't quite work out (that was not to do with the property) and Suzanne and George went out of their way to help us with an alternative to ensure that the weekend was still wonderful. The property was perfect for our purposes with all the amenities we needed. An absolutely stunning building throughout. The huge living room with pool table was perfect for relaxing in the evening and the well kitted out kitchen was a godsend for cooking for 11. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable with an ensuite in each room and a spare toilet on the 1st floor. The option to hire a hottub for the private garden is certainly a bonus. The 3ft thick walls meant that we had all the privacy we needed. An absolute gem. We are already thinking about when we can next visit. Brilliant property and brilliant hosts! with

Absolutely Beautiful
We had the most amazing time away spending a few nights with the whole family. It was so special. Everything was clean and ready for use, Suzanne and her husband were so helpful and informative, and were very thoughtful. Everything you need is so local and only ever a 10/15 min drive if that. The place itself is beautiful and had real depth and character. We cherished every moment from our time away as a family and we will definitely be back. Thank you so much for having us.

Fantastic
We had the best post-lockdown trip here. Suzanne and her family were most accommodating. The perfect spot for trips to nearby Ramsgate/Broadstairs/Margate etc. Rooms were comfortable and spacious and it was a treat for each room to have its own en-suite. Would gladly stay again.

Charming property
My family and I (6 adults, 3 children) just spent a wonderful week at this beautiful property in Ramsgate. The owner Suzanne was so helpful right from the booking enquiry until we checked out after our stay. The property description was very accurate and the pictures on the website don't do it justice. The Chapel is so full of character and beautiful features. The private garden was an added bonus and perfect if you have children - the only way in or out was through the back door. A perfect place to sit and unwind with a glass of wine as the sun went down. We really enjoyed the large sitting room downstairs which was lovely and cool - just what we needed after an exceptionally hot September week! We played pool and tried, unsuccessfully, to learn to play the piano and overall we had great fun. The kitchen was fully equipped and large enough for us all to congregate there for meals and playing cards. The only slight problem we had was with the pressure of the showers sometimes but was due to circumstances out of Suzanne's control and certainly would not stop us from returning in the future. Highly recommended!

Wonderful Cottage
This is the first time a cittage has been better than i imagined! Having stayed at a number of properties over the years, I've learned to go in open minded towards it not quite being as good as it looked. This was the opposite. Spacious, comfortable, well maintained, and a wonderful placentre for our group of 9 to get away to. We had a wonderful friendly welcome, and the location was superb. Will definitely book again if we can.

The perfect family space
Thoughtfully converted chapel, with plenty of room, and all amenities required, perfect for our happy family gathering over the beautiful Easter weekend. Suzanne was a wonderful host, welcoming and generous, with her time and thoughtful extras. Nothing was too much trouble. Thoroughly recommended for the larger party. You really get a sense of the history of the place, with its thick flint walls and pretty windows. The huge living room, which takes up the entire ground floor, has a pool table and large wall-mounted TV with XBox games supplied. There's a piano for a family singalong, too.

Great stay at The Chapel, Manston Court!
Just returned from a wonderful week in The Chapel, made "wonderful" not only by being the perfect accommodation for our 3-generational family but also the superb hospitality of the owner, Suzanne Box - she does everything to make her guests feel welcome and to have a comfortable and enjoyable stay. It's also in a great location, being only a short drive to the many sandy beaches, shopping centre and places of interest in Thanet. The accommodation, set over 3 floors, has a very spacious (40ft long!) sitting room on the ground floor. It has four large comfy sofas, a wall-mounted TV and a pool table (much appreciated on rainy days!), making it the perfect place to relax. The large kitchen diner, another great space in which to congregate, is well supplied with plenty of crockery, cutlery etc. The three bedrooms - all en suite - have comfortable king-size beds and each room is so large that there's more than enough space to make them into family rooms (the owner has a supply of portable beds for this purpose). So, all in all, The Chapel makes for a great stay - it's definitely one to return to and we'll be recommending it to our friends and extended families.

We are a group of 10 ladies and chose to stay in this beautiful chapel for a weekend away. The owner Suzanne could not be more helpful both prior to the visit and during. The Chapel is absolutely stunning and the pictures on line don't even begin to show you how amazing and spacious it is. We would all truly recommend anyone to visit this stunning venue and would like to thank Suzanne for being the most accommodating host and letting us enjoy her wonderful property.

A beautiful well equiped home from home accomodation in a praceful, ideallic location.
A group of 7 of us stayed at The Chapel for a long weekend. We had ample space and it would have been comfortable even with a few more. The house is very well equiped and a bit home from home. Downstairs in the sitting room is a full sized Pool table and plenty of really comfy seating. We were so impressed that we stayed in at night and played music and had a pool tournament. Kitchen has everthing you need with some of the neccesities included, such as hand soap, washing up liquid etc. The beds were really comfy and we all slept really well. The owners have made the accomodation very homely and we didnt want to leave. The Chapel is ideally situated to get out and about, with a short distance to Margate, Broadstairs and other coastal places. A couple of miles away is a retail park with everything you need. The owners are full of advice and happy for you to get a grocery or takeaway delivery. Highly recommend and we cant wait to visit again
