The hotel is on the outskirts of Rapid City. Very easy access to the interstate and gas station. The closest place to eat was about a 5 minute drive away. The hotel is older but met our needs. The beds were comfortable and the room had a fridge and microwave.

They don’t disclose what their pet fee is on their website and when we arrived we found out it was $35 USD per pet. So were charges $70 USD for a small dog and medium dog! That doubled the cost of the room! We had booked on expedia and could not cancel. That rate is highest of any pet fees I have paid. Hotels don’t charge ‘children’ fees!

Front desk staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good as well as the coffee. Rooms clean. My partner enjoyed the pool. Centrally located to the area attractions. Very good experience and definitely would stay there again.

Overly priced for what you get. Our sink didn’t drain, the shower had poor water pressure. Bathroom towels are pretty tattered and have rips. Overall just very old and could use updates for the price of one night. The bed is not comfortable with extremely lumpy pillows and squeaky springs. The A/C unit was off when we arrived but it did work and cool the room down after some time running. Our door didn’t properly shut and latch without a little extra force to either pull or push. I wouldn’t count on walking out and it latching securely without double checking.

The hotel lobby was nice. There is a sitting room on the second floor ,as our room was across from this is was noisy as groups gathered there. The bed was comfortable and linens were nice.
