I stay twice a year at Good Nite Inn….. the area around the property seemed to be a little cleaner this time. I was happy to see that the homeless woman that sleeps in front of IHOP was gone.

We came to Redwood City to have some tests done at Stanford Hospital. This hotel was a great value and the location was ideal for our needs. You wouldn’t stay here for the views, but it’s a quick walk to the charming downtown—plenty of cafes and places to eat.

Entry to interior hallways were secured by key card, quiet at night, plenty of hot water, convenient location to highway and surrounding areas, like San Jose and San Francisco. Would reccomend as an affordable place to stay while in northern California's Bay area.

On the whole, the place is quite old. It is right by this big and busy road, and does not look quite safe. The reception closes early like at 9 pm and would only speak through a small window for anything needed after they close. We were given room keys that also need to get into the compound of the inn but it did not seem like these gates were always locked and the fence is actually pretty low to provide any barricade. The sheet on one of the beds we had was full of fuzzy pills, and uncomfortable, and blankets too thin. When asked for more blankets, they said they did not have any. The room also has a strong musty or smoke smell in there.

At check-in, staff required my ID and wouldn’t accept my husband’s. Room phone did not work, desk said all were out due to Comcast. Room fridge did not work, desk sent maintenance. An hour later it still did not work, desk sent maintenance with a replacement. Room was very spacious and clean. No microwave in room, but available in lobby. Key card did not work in pool gate. Bath towels were tiny. Divot in room floor under the carpeting.
