The Neighborhood

Relbia is a semi-rural locality, blending the charming, Tasmanian countryside with modern homes. Characterised by open paddocks, rolling hills, beautiful gardens and renowned wineries, Relbia is one of Launceston’s most sought after and exclusive suburbs.

Whilst staying in Relbia, you are located right near the renowned Josef Chromy Vineyard, and Jinglers Creek Vineyard. Both produce beautiful cool climate wines and allow both restaurant dining and picnics. Encompassed by fellow vineyards, meticulous, charming gardens and picturesque views overlooking the rural scenery, you will find yourself in a peaceful and tranquil setting.

Explore Tasmania's history at Franklin House, a unique colonial, convict-built house museum where you can freely explore the home and grounds. The 1800’s building, originally built for a successful businessman, and ex-convict, came to house one of the leading private schools for the Colony.

Can’t get enough of the beautiful scenery, lovely buildings, and historical landmarks? Then head to the nearby Suburb Evandale. This suburb is home to many iconic yearly events, well-preserved Victorian and late-georgian buildings, impressive streetscapes and the beloved Evandale market. The Evandale market is not to be missed, with many locals flocking to see the stallholders' unique creations, local produce, delicious food stalls, and hidden gems every Sunday. Make your way to Morven Park, where you can take a ride on a light rail steam train, perfect for the little ones to enjoy.

Only 15 minutes from the city it’s an easy drive to town. Launceston City has a variety of shops, delectable cafes and restaurants as well as the City Park which is known for its beautiful oak tree gardens, playground for the children, a plant-filled conservatory and cheeky snow monkeys.

Whilst in the CBD, make sure to visit the Cataract Gorge. A spectacular natural formation where you can enjoy long and short walks, fresh water swimming basins, the world's longest single-span chairlift and vibrant peacocks! An additional, unique way to experience this attraction is via the Tamar Cruise vessel, which cruises through the waters that carve between the rocky formations.

A relaxing base for touring the Launceston region
Enjoyed the rustic setting, the amenities and ambience of the apartment, and relaxing atmosphere. Not far from the Airport. Had trouble finding the key lockbox in the dark, TV picture good but sound was indistinct. Would recommend the apartment.

Beautiful place
The unit is part of the main house- so slightly aware of the owners. Laundry facilities are shared with the owners- unfortunately it was in use when I wanted to wash a few pieces. We were asked in an email to do the dishes & empty the bins ( I thought that is included in the cleaning fees). Otherwise a beautiful place to unwind with everything that is needed.

Not easy to access.
The property was lovely. For us, the bed was too soft and the plastic covering on the doona made it slip off the bed which was very annoying and cold. The locked box was not easy to find at all let alone in the dark.
