Great place for your next family vacation
The house was a split level with a beautiful kitchen, sunroom, huge deck with a table/chairs to enjoy the views of beautiful Mabel Lake! The house was very accommodating with 4 separate bedrooms, 2 full baths, a canoe, kayaks, paddle board and hot tub! Such a beautiful place. We will definitely be back!

Nice outdoor space, great for kids
This place was great for our group of 9 (4 adults, 5 kids ages 3-10). The kids had a great time playing in the sand and swimming in the lake. The lake was a little weedy, but not too bad. We all enjoyed hanging out on the deck and in the yard, both of which are pretty large. We appreciated the little extras in the garage like the riding toys, sand toys, and inner tubes. We had a little trouble with the dishwasher and ice maker, but beyond that everything was great!

Nice, woodsy retreat...
All went well. The air conditioning needs to be looked at because it was set at 64 degrees and it was humid in the house. The dryer does NOT work. We didn't get to enjoy the lake or the outdoors. The mosquitoes were terrible. You have a BEAUTIFUL, LAKE VIEW, the hot tub was nice, and we had great visits. The bathroom shower upstairs was very small and tricky to maneuver in. Overall, a pleasant stay, but warm sleeping at night.

The property is on a small lake. It s very quiet area. The most noise we heard was from our grandchildren playing in the yard. There is a large yard between the house and the lake. It is ideal for yard games, there are trees there to set up the cabin’s hammock and bring one yourself, if you wish. The kayaks, canoe and paddleboat are all older, but in good condition. Since the lake is small, you will not have to watch for fast traffic. And taking kids out on the s lake is fun like it’s supposed to be. The lake is a nice place to do birdwatching and fishing. The kitchen is well stocked with essentials. It has been remodeled, and although the square footage may seem small it is well furnished, and arranged so that everyone is comfortable.

Great place on a small, quiet lake.
This isn’t a lake with water skiers, it’s a small quiet lake for canoeing, kayaking, and paddle boarding, and maybe a blow up raft. This is a great place for young children. The water, by the beach, is shallow. There are weeds, but they are not thick. St least in June. There is a new mini golf course in Longville. A short drive from the house. They serve snacks as well. We were there for the weekend and all went well. The kids enjoyed the hammock. We brought another, the kids kept occupied with croquet and other games. The hot tub was too hot for them so they weren’t on there long. They may have been a bit noisy at times. We did not see much of the neighbors. Carol

House and grounds were beautiful and immaculate. Kitchen had all amenities, appliances were clean and plenty of dishes and cookware. Bedrooms were spacious with comfortable beds and plenty of extra bedding. Bathrooms were well stocked with towels, toilet paper, etc. Check-in was easy and communication (if needed) with owner was prompt. Can't say enough about this property, only that I wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the beautiful fall weather. Would definitely book again!

A Week at Eagle's View
Beauty, comfort and serenity made for a week of enjoyment and utter relaxation for our family and extended family visitors at Eagle's View on Mabel Lake. All was in good working order and there was plenty of everything from kitchen supplies and extra small appliances to a wide variety of toys and games for inside and outside activities. The kids especially loved picking ripe juicy raspberries, making s'mores in the firepit at the water's edge, fishing off the dock, swimming and hot tubbing. All the beds were very comfortable plus there were lots of other sleeping options available for extra guests. The furnishings were top quality and the updated kitchen was a dream to work in. Fishing was easy and fun and meals of bass, northern, crappies, sunfish and blue gills were enjoyed by all. The tranquility of Mabel Lake was a serene delight, although we did venture out a bit to explore the nearby towns of Remer, which has a remarkable little antique store, and Longville, which has fun weekly turtle races and a wonderful ice cream shop. Our hosts were warm, friendly and helpful and easy to contact. We recommend this VRBO!

Peaceful retreat
Beth & George's house is newly updated and was a spacious, clean, lovely place for the ten of us to stay. It is even better in person than in the pictures. Beth was incredibly helpful and communicative and went above and beyond to ensure that our trip was great. Every day, we went kayaking and heard/saw a pair of loons. We took the paddle boat out, picked raspberries, made s'mores at the fire pit, baked & cooked in the well-equipped kitchen, spent lots of time chatting on the 3-season porch, and witnessed a stunning double rainbow over the lake. The three young kids enjoyed the riding toys in the garage and the toys and games in the house. We went to the campground beach twice, which is shallow and sandy for the little ones. The farmer's market in Walker was fun, and we highly recommend the Children's Discovery Museum in Grand Rapids.
