I loved this place!! I saw a couple poor reviews and I don’t know why. The location is a little secluded but only 20 minutes from downtown Reykjavik. But the room was clean, bed comfortable and the property beautiful. We used the hot tub and the sauna and had them all to ourselves! We said if we came back to Iceland we would stay here again.

This is one of the most unique lodging experience I’ve had. The location is amazing and love the fishing villlage theme. The room is amazingly designed and functional. Love this place and will stay again next time.

You definitely need a car to stay at this property as it’s about 25 min drive from central Reykjavik and yet this is a great place if you are looking for something quiet and relaxing. You’ll have a wonderful ocean view from the property and it’s so serene. I wish the room had a little kitchen so we could cook. Things in Iceland is very expensive. If you want to save money by cooking in your property then this is not a place for you as each room only has an electric kettle and a mini fridge (not even a microwave.)

Peaceful spot, some things to consider if stying
It’s a nice spot, but there are no blackout blinds for half the windows in the room so you have to wear eye masks as the room is bright and we struggled to sleep. Restaurant is open only for select hours of Sat/Sun although there weren’t cooking facilities either. Hot tub and sauna were nice but only open in the evening. We self checked in and didn’t see any staff or talk to anyone for the whole stay. Otherwise it was a peaceful place, suitable for two people, nice to be by the water.

Great location a little way out of the city, beautiful view of the beach. Bed was comfy and room amenities were fine. However, the parking fills up fast (not designated by room number), we came home one night to find the spot outside our room was taken and the rest of the carpark full so we parked outside near the restaurant. Not a huge deal, but may be important to note if you have accessibility needs. Also, the walls are thin and people are loud, especially if your room is underneath the hot tub area. Footsteps above are thunderous, avoid if you're a light sleeper or bring some quality ear plugs.

Booked a superior room but was a little disappointed upon arrival. It doesn’t look like what it shows in the picture. easy check in as we arrived before 9. Enjoyed the hot tub and sauna. The towel is kind of small to use but we got clean towels everyday. No onsite restaurant. Got nice pictures of midnight sunset
